will the sway bar work on a stright tonque trailer, it is not a v tonque

Sway control bars, like part # 83660, cannot be used on pole tongue trailers. The best way to get sway control for a pole tongue trailer is to use a weight distribution system. You will also need a pole tongue adapter. We have 2 different models of pole tongue adapters available, the Pole Tongue Adapter and Fastener Kit for SC Weight Distribution Systems, item # RP58393, and the Pole Tongue Adapter and Fastener Kit, item # RP3280. With one of these adapters you will be able to add a weight distribution system that matches your trailer tongue weight and gross weight when loaded and ready to tow.
Friction sway control is available and can be used on a pole tongue trailer with the Pole Tongue Adapter & Fastener Kit for SC Weight Distribution Systems, item # RP58393. I added links to all of the SC kits for you to select from using the tongue weight of your trailer.
