Fit Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Box On 2005 Honda Pilot

If your 2005 Honda Pilot has a factory roof rack with cross bars that run side to side, then the Thule Sidekick Cargo Box, # TH78GC, will fit.

If you just have side rails that run front to back and no cross bars, you will first need to add Thule Custom Fit Roof Rack, which consists of these parts, # TH710401 and # TH712400. This will add cross bars and you can then use the cargo box. I have included a link to the installation details.

If you do not have side rails or cross bars (a naked roof), you will need to add a Yakima roof rack system. You will need:

1) BaseClip fit kit, part # Y06154
2) Round 58 inch CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System (QTY 2), # Y00409
3) Yakima BaseLine Towers Roof Rack Feet for Naked Roof (QTY 4), # Y28TR
4) Round Bar adapter, part # Y03536

Since this is a Yakima system, the Thule cargo box will probably fit, but it would be best to go with a comparable Yakima box instead; like the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Cargo Box, # Y95AV.
