Question:
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 7 pin trailer connector My signal lights and brake lights work on truck and trailer, but cant figure out why the running lights wont work. They work fine on the truck. 7 pin trailer connector has no power at the running light terminal. Wiring behind it is dead also. Do I need to replace wiring? Is there an easy fix? Fuses checked out fine.

It is possible that there is more than one fuse or possibly a relay related to the tow package running light circuit. Use the owner's manual and/or the legends on the in-cab and under the hood fuse panels to find all locations of fuses/relays related to the tow package wiring. I tried to find a copy online but was unsuccessful.
There could also be a problem on the wiring somewhere between the connector and where it terminates further forward on the truck. Look for damaged or pinched wires as best as you can and fix as needed.
If it is not a fuse or relay and you are unable to check the entire length of the running light wire then the only other option is to bypass the factory wire and attach a new one to the back of the 7-Way. Then you would tap into a running light wire behind one of the tail lights on the truck.
