Can Draw-Tite # 36416 or Hidden Hitch # 90152 on 2008 Toyota Camry LE Handle 4 x 8 ATV Trailer

I have a 2008 Toyota Camry LE. I was wondering if the Draw Tite hidden hitch listed for this car will handle a standard 4foot x 8foot ATV trailer with about 750lbs of ATV and gear? Thanks,

Although the Draw-Tite, # 36416, and Hidden Hitch, # 90152 (no longer available), trailer hitch receivers have a 300 lb tongue weight capacity and a 3500 lb towing capacity which would be sufficient for a trailer carrying 750 lbs, you are going to be limited by the capacity of your 2008 Toyota Camry LE.

Since the Camry is designed primary as a passenger carrying vehicle, Toyota doesn't provide a specific towing capacity. In this case you'll just need to make sure that the load of the trailer is distributed so that the tongue weight is 9 to 11 percent of the trailer weight and does not exceed 100 lbs. You will also need to make sure that the weight of the unloaded vehicle, driver, passengers, luggage, hitch and trailer tongue load does not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) which should be indicated on the certification label which should be located in the driver's door jam.
