Draw-Tite #75058 what does it fit? i bought it today for my ranger but nw it seems too big...

I spoke to my contact at Draw Tite and the hitch part number 75090 that you referenced has long been discontinued but it was a fit for Explorers, Mountaineers, and Navajos. It would not be a fit for your 1998 Ford Ranger. The 75090 was replaced by the # 75096.
For your vehicle you would want the part # 75082 instead as it has been confirmed as a fit for your Ranger.
