Sir, How much does this hitch reduce ground clearance and approach angle on the 2014 Chevy 1500? Is the Drawtite the best hitch for best offroad ground clearance? I go to the beach a lot but also hit some semi rough trails during hunting season. Thanks!

The front mounted hitch receiver that will provide you the most amount of ground clearance on your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the Curt Custom Fit 2 Inch Hitch, # C31069. This hitch measures 9.52 inches from the frame mounting flange to the bottom of the hitch receiver opening. I have included a picture which illustrates this measurement.
The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 65064, that you mentioned reduces ground clearance just a hair more at 9.62 inches.
