Will Draw-Tite # 7390 Adjstable Ball Mount w/ Sway Control Tab Adjust to a 2 and a 3 Inch Rise

Question:
I have a 1999 Toyota 4Runner and am towing a Casita. I need to raise the hitch height and would like to know if the 7390 will work. The casita has a Curt sway bar with a 5/8 shank for the ball. Will this work? It needs to be raised about 3 inches. Also may tow with a Toyota Tundra which will need a 2inch . Hoping this unit will do both. Thank you

Expert Reply:
The maximum rise of the Draw-Tite # 7390 adjustable Ball Mount with sway control tab is 3-3/4 inches. The holes in the shank that allow you to elevate or lower the ball platform are spaced at 1 inch increments, meaning you could have your ball at a 3-3/4 inch or a 2-3/4 inch rise. It's preferable to have the ball a bit on the high side rather than too low, so this ball mount would work well with either of the vehicles you mentioned.
The sway control tab on the ball mount is compatible with the 5/8 inch diameter shank used by the ball of your sway control unit.
I've linked you with our FAQ article that shows exactly how to determine the rise/drop needed.
