I would like to have the option of mounting the cameralicense plate part on the truck or our 22 pull trailer. Wiring for the truck i can understand, connecting to the reverse circuitpos.-tail lights and a ground. For the trailer:from the 7wiring harness, can i use the aux terminal wire that is free for the backup lights? thx

Typically, on a factory installed 7-Way, the center pin is for reverse lights. If there is not a wire in the center pin on the trailer side connector, you can add one and run it all the way back.
I would purchase a couple of 2 Loops with connectors, part # 9651P. You can use these connectors to provide a quick and easy way of disconnecting the camera system to move it from the truck to the trailer. Depending on the camera system, you may only need the two wires, one for ground and one to connect to the reverse circuit.
