Question:
I have a 2006 class A diesel Fleetwood motorhome with a Spartan chassis. Its pre-wired for a brake controller. Will a standard brake controller work ? I will be towing a 3 axle- 6 electric brakes total boat trailer

According to Fleetwood, the factory port or plug for a brake controller on the Ford F-53 chassis is coiled underneath the dash. Look for a 5 pin gray connector. I believe if you look in the center console area (right of the steering column) and up under the dash it will be there.
The correct brake controller harness you would need is the part # 3034-P.
Nearly all brake controllers would work, there is nothing about your vehicle that would prevent a brake controller from being installed.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
