i had to drill out old lock to a sears X-Cargo 20 rooftop...what lock do you recommend to replace it with?

The Sears X-Cargo boxes use Thule lock cores. As long as you didn't damage the box drilling out the old core a replacement lock core like part # THLOCKN147 with the replacement key part # THKEYN147 would be all that you would need.
