Question:
2010 shorelander, 2000#,steel wheels, i believe studs are 1/2inch or 9/16.

It sounds like you are looking for the proper amount of torque to apply to the wheel studs of the trailer you have when mounting the wheels.
If the studs you have are 1/2 inch in diameter you would need to apply 90-100 ft/lbs of torque, if they are 9/16 they would require 120-140 ft/lbs.
