Do the seams of this tent need to be sealed before using. I have read on some tent descriptions that the seams need to be sealed before using. I dont want to have to deal with this.

You will not need to seal the seams of the Rightline Gear SUV Tent # RL110907 because these are tape-sealed when manufactured. The tent floor has taped seams to block moisture too.
I think you are really going to like this tent when you are out camping!
If you have an auxiliary 12-volt DC accessory outlet, I recommend the Peak Performance # 34280174 mobile power inverter because it provides 1 USB port and 2 AC outlets. I use mine quite often, especially on road trips!
