Is the sleeve on this receiver removable to use it as a 2inch hitch?

The reducer sleeve that comes with Diversi-Tech adjustable ball mount, # DTSTBM6625, cannot be removed from the shank. The fasteners holding it on are there for additional stability and support and the anti-rattle feature also prevents it from coming off.

There are some options that might work for you though. You could use adjustable ball mount # DTALBM6600 for 2 inch hitches and the stand alone adapter sleeve, # DTADP35, when using it in a 2-1/2 inch receiver. I have included links to videos on these products for you.
