Question:
Can you tell me the total weight of Reese fifth wheel hitch part # 30047 plus the rails and installation kit required to mount it in the bed of my truck? Looking to know so I can calculate GVW. Thanks

If you have a truck like a 2009 Ford F-150 with an 8 ft bed, the Reese fifth wheel hitch, part # RP30047 will work well for you. The hitch alone weighs approximately 81 lbs.
For the same truck I recommend using a custom installation kit with the rails, part # RP50081-58. The weight of this kit is right at 61 lbs, so the two items added together weigh 142 lbs.
If your truck has a short bed, you would need to either install a sidewinder pin box or use a slider fifth wheel hitch in the bed of your truck.
