Are Firestone Air Compressors Waterproof

I was wondering if this compressor is water proof so it could be mounted under my truck to the frame. If it isnt I can mount it inside my tool box I would just like to save space for more tools.

The Firestone air compressors such as # F9377 can handle typical moisture like what might splash up from the road when driving in the rain. But it is not designed to be submerged under water. For something to be waterproof it has to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and not let any water in.
It will be perfectly fine under your truck so long as you aren't planning on driving into any deep bodies of water! That is why Firestone makes a mount bracket, # F2530, to mount the compressor to your frame.
