Question:
I have a 2012 Ford F-150, and I'd like to tow a 3500 lb enclosed trailer. My truck has a hitch and the 7 blade power connector, but I'm told I need a brake controller. I see numerous controllers on your website, and I'm confused about which one to get. HELP!

I'd be happy to help you with that....
There are two kinds of controllers, time delayed and proportional. A time delayed controller (like the PowerTrac you referred to) allows you to adjust the amount of time between when you hit the brake pedal and the trailer brakes are applied. A proportional controller, however will sense how quickly the tow vehicle is stopping, and will apply the trailer brakes in proportion so that the tow vehicle and trailer are braking at the same rate. This leads to safer, more predictable braking.
If you'll never be towing anything that has an electric over hydraulic braking system, the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160 would be an excellent choice. The controller self-levels for easy set up, is easy to install and is very reliable and easy to use. If you need electric over hydraulic compatibility, I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885.
To install the controller, you'll need a wiring adapter, part # 22292. You'd mount the controller within easy reach of the driver, typically to the right of the steering column under the dash. The # 22292 would plug into the connector located just to the right of the OBDII port, which is directly over where the driver's right knee would be.
