Question:

Will the Draw-Tite front mount trailer hitch receiver- custom fit 2inch for the Ford F350 450 550 fit the E450 series? I have a 2013 Forest River Class C on a E450 Chassis.

We do offer a front-mount hitch receiver for the 2013 Ford E-450 RV Cutaway Chassis that is the foundation for your Forest River Class C motor home.

Draw-Tite offers their hitch # 65053 which has a 2-inch receiver opening, 500-lb vertical load rating and which comes complete with all required installation hardware. The written installation instructions are linked for you at right along with two helpful articles concerning hitch installation tips.

If you intend to use a snow plow on the vehicle we do offer a range of plows from K2 and SnowSport, all of which can be seen on the link at right. If a cargo carrier is in your plans you will want to ensure that you use a carrier for 2-inch hitches; the link provided will display a variety of options. Do keep in mind that state laws may vary regarding use of front-mounted cargo items. You'll of course want to ensure your lights, license plate and the radiator's ventilation are not blocked by either the carrier or the loaded cargo.

When a front-hitch-mounted item is installed, such as a plow, you may find that your front end suspension could need some additional support. We do offer front suspension enhancement kits for your E-450 and these can be seen on the link provided. Options include both air springs like the Firestone # F4101 as well as jounce springs like # TFEF350 from Timbren.
