Features to know about

Reliable Charging Where Older RV Converters Fall Short

Closed unit

Many RV owners upgrade their power center because the factory converter never charged batteries the way it should. Slow recovery times and batteries that never quite reach full are common signs. The WFCO Power Center is designed to fix that by using charging profiles matched to your battery type. Lead-acid batteries receive true 3-stage charging with higher voltage during bulk charging, then step down to normal, and trickle/float stages as they recover. Lithium batteries follow a simpler two-stage process designed for faster, more consistent charging. The result is quicker recharge times and less day-to-day strain on your batteries, helping them last longer and perform more reliably.

Does This Power Center Automatically Detect Lithium Batteries?

Upgrading to lithium batteries is usually about better performance and long-term value, not extra complexity. This power center uses WFCO's Auto-Detect technology to recognize lithium or lead-acid batteries and apply the correct charging profile automatically. There are no switches to set and no settings to guess at. Once installed, it charges your batteries the way they are designed to be charged, helping you get the faster recovery, longer service life, and consistent performance that make lithium a worthwhile upgrade for your RV.

One Tidy AC/DC Power Center for Your RV

Open door

Instead of juggling separate components, the WFCO Power Center combines your AC breaker panel, DC fuse block, and converter into one compact unit. This helps keep wiring organized and reduces clutter in tight RV compartments. With six AC circuits and six DC circuits, it provides capacity for everyday RV essentials like outlets, lighting, appliances, and onboard electronics. The power center accepts standard residential breakers and automotive fuses (not included). You can check the product manual for recommended brands and styles, which are easy to find and purchase from most hardware or RV stores.

What Safety Protections Does This RV Power Center Have?

Electrical upgrades only bring peace of mind if they operate safely day after day. This power center is built with protections against overheating, over-current conditions, and reverse polarity connections, so a wiring mistake or heavy load doesn't turn into a bigger problem. LED indicator lights provide quick visual feedback to help identify power and fault conditions, making it easier to spot issues during troubleshooting. The cooling fan is designed to pull air in and exhaust it out the front of the unit, which helps move heat away from the components instead of letting it build up behind the panel. That matters in tight RV compartments where airflow is limited. If operating limits are ever exceeded, the system can shut itself down to protect the electronics. It's built-in safety that's reassuring when you're upgrading battery types or replacing an older converter that didn't manage heat nearly as well.

Is This a Direct Replacement for My RV Power Center?

Rear with wires

This WF-8735-AD is designed to replace many factory-installed WFCO 35-amp power centers, which is why it fits so well in common RV power center locations. It can also be used as a replacement for other brands with similar layouts and capacity. Because every RV is a little different, it's still important to verify cutout dimensions and wiring before installing. Some applications may require minor adjustments depending on the original layout. If you'd rather leave the job to a professional you can use etrailer's installer locator to find a qualified shop near you and get help with installation.

Video Transcript for Review of WFCO RV Power Converter - Converter and AC/DC Panel - WF96FR

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at our WFCO Auto Detect Power Center with six complete circuits. So folks, this power center has five AC circuits, a 30 amp primary circuit, and six DC circuits. And as you just saw, I just simply press in. It's spring loaded. That's gonna open my panel.

You can see the fan in the front along with all the different options here. And of course some pop outs here and everything for your circuit breakers. You got all your wires in the back. Very strong, very heavy duty. They're all pre-stripped a little bit, about a half inch or so.

So installation should be a little bit simpler for you. And of course, all your different cutout pop out options here if you need to pop things out to run wires, et cetera. So as again, I showed you, you have the ventilation here in the front. The airflow system draws the cool air in and expels the warm air back out through that front. And there's LEDs inside there that are gonna light up showing you your condition, current state, whether there's an issue or not, or that everything's running great.

Dimensions, overall, outer, 11 7/8 wide, 8 1/4 inches tall, about 5 5/16 inches deep. And I just stopped at the black plastic. I did not include the wire and connector here and that kind of stuff. As far as the cutout, 10 3/8 inches wide overall, 4 1/8 inches deep, and seven inches tall overall. So again folks, this is a great option for you.

Again, you have five AC circuits, one 30 amp, and six DC, giving you flexibility and even working in the smallest RV environments. Uses auto detect technology. So that just means it's gonna recognize the battery's chemistry makeup, and it's gonna automatically adjust the charging profile to match it. So if it's lead acid, you got a three stage converter. If it's lithium, you have the multi-stage process, those kind of things. So again, very nice, very well made. And again, this is the six circuit option. We have a four circuit option if this is too much for you as far as your needs. So reach out if you have any questions about this or any other products here at etrailer, and have a great day.
