Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

R24 Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Non-Binding Design

The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.

With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.

With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

Showed up just in time to install and cross a few states to pick up our 1st new 5th wheel. Easy installation and showed up a few days early.

Love my fifth wheel on time delivery

by: Jim05/17/2021

Overall very happy with my Curt 5th wheel 24k hitch. I’m happy it came in pieces because of the weight totally assembled. Release spring for the slide is pretty stiff but I wouldn’t want it disengaging while driving down the road. Thanks for all your help Justin and your prompt service.

THE Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs. WAS EASY TO ORDER AND CAME PROMPLTY. INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY EASY TO READ WHICH MADE INSTALLATION SIMPLE AND EASY.

by: Sean12/06/2023

Heavy duty and construction seems good. The slider handle will be tuff to use since the bed wall is so close and the spring is strong, not to mention the lack of room once a trailer is on there (possible re-design needed). Also wish it came with a few varying rubber shims that go under the assembly. The ones that came with it wont fit and without anything, it is metal to metal and a little sloppy. Other than that, I think it will work good and last a long time...

Toyota Tundra

The product shipped and was received in a timely manner. The installation went very good, took me about 3 1/2 hours to install. Instructions were easy to understand. The installation kit came with many extra parts so I wasn't worried about missing parts. Items are very heavy so be careful lifting. The drillbit needed for the holes is 17/32 which is an uncommon bit to find at a hardware store. It would've been nice if the drillbit was included in the kit. I did find one at a local hardware store for $6.35. By the time I was done drilling my last hole the drillbit is now useless, burned the tip out and last hole was hard to finish. When I first started my measurements I didn't realize the truck model at the top of the page and initially measured for a GMC, but I own a tundra. I was thankful my wife came in and was talking with me and disrupted the job. After she left is when I realized I measured for the wrong vehicle. Double check everything before drilling. Very good product and would definitely recommend it to another person.

Three concerns/issues. One, is that my truck sits so high up in the air, (Dodge Power Wagon) that when I was hauling the trailer I had so many issues with swaying. If you tow behind is not fairly level this will happen. It took a long time to figure this out. Might want to pass this along to other customers

Two. Should the white disc go between the hitch and the tow behind as a protective disc?

Three. on pull behinds there are chains or cables in the event that the trailer unhooks from the hitch ball. There are no safety cables or chains for a fifth wheel. How come? Just inquiring.

by: Dennis08/19/2020

Like most customers the box was in really bad shape when it arrived. Everything was still together and not damaged. Received 2 of 3 boxes, contacted customer service since I needed the rail system for the rest of the assembly to mount on and they promised the rails would arrive the next day. I'm trusting they will get here. The Curt fifth wheel slider hitch is built substantially well and is impressive, cannot wait to hook up!

by: Lincoln01/18/2021

Great customer service! Thanks again

by: Keith06/23/2020

Have not used it yet, just put it together. The hitch is easy to operate and built very well. Only issues I have are the pieces are heavy and not sure if they can be packed any other way. UPS must have dropped one of the pieces because one of the boxes was shredded, the other had holes in it and some of the hardware was poking through the box. Great hitch all in all.

by: Mike 11/27/2023

Very heavy duty

by: Eric 10/06/2022

Easy trouble free connect and disconnect. Quiet while traveling.

by: Tad05/18/2022

Works as intended. A little noisy as the hitch’s has some slop from the slider.

by: Richard09/12/2022

Pins were hard to get in and fifth wheel is a good three higher

by: Kerry11/04/2017

This was over kill for me, I always order things more heavy duty than advertised, because they always come as a lesser quality, but not this Time. It was much more heavy duty. My 5th wheel is 14,500 # so it's not
Lightweight but this thing tows my 5th wheel like it's not even there, and it got here in less than 3 full days! I'm very impressed!

by: Alfred02/27/2022

Our first fifth wheel hitch, but no stranger to trailers. This had excellent build quality and installation instructions. Fit and finish is spot on. Best part it fits in My 2014 F250 with my diesel Aux tank with zero issues.

by: Brian R.04/12/2019

I haul campers for a living and this hitch has worked great, no issues, great hitch for the money. The only thing I have done is add a teflon plate to the head so I dont have to grease the fifth wheel

by: Ned01/09/2021

I did my research & saw excellent reviews for the Curt products. I was looking for a 16 locally but none were in stock & none could be available before I left to get our fifth wheel. So I had a 20 shipped to our destination which arrived a day earlier than expected. We had it installed & drove it back home—almost 2000 miles. It handled rough roads, construction zones & road work, and unexpected snow storms with ease. I am very happy with our unit & would strongly recommend Curt products.

by: Scott01/07/2018

Good looking product. etrailer stayed in touch with me regarding the delivery. And there it was, sitting on my door step when I came home several days earlier then expected.

by: Mac09/17/2020

Poor and wrong instructions. Had to grind bracket. Had to heat and twist one bracket. Bolts to long. Had to cut. Finally got installed and it should be fine. I wanted to get the custom kit but it was gonna take about five weeks to get. If I had known it was gonna be this hard to install I would have waited.

by: Anthony 04/09/2021

Best fifth wheel hitch ever

by: Wayne02/10/2019

Easy install. Works like a charm. This is the best hitch I have owned.

by: Dane 03/24/2021

by: Kenneth 12/03/2022

by: Jim B.09/26/2017

Hitch is very heavy duty. Easy to install with the help of a friend. Have not had a chance to use it yet but will be this weekend.

  • Recommended Curt Sliding Hitch for a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 W/ A Standard Bed
  • If by "standard" bed you mean a 6-1/2' bed then yes you'd need to use a sliding hitch. Since you're already interested in the Curt Q25 or Q24 hitch I'd recommend going with the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider # C16566 with the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C88KR. This is the same hitch as the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C37FR that you're interested in, but has a sliding base instead of a fixed base.

  • We do offer slider kits for Reese hitches like the Reese Square Tube Slider for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30048 that works with 15K, 16K, or 20K Reese 5th wheel hitches. However, unfortunately your Reese 22K Fifth Wheel Hitch # 30034 is not a compatible hitch for these sliders. If you need a slider hitch for your Silverado, I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550037 with the rail kit # DM8551010. • Can Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch have it's Weight Capacity Exceeded
  • Since we can't ever recommend exceeding the towing capacity of a fifth wheel hitch we'd have to recommend a hitch with a higher towing capacity like the Curt Q25 part # C16566 with the Ram OEM Rail kit part # C16022 which has a 24k capacity.

  • Are Mopar M25 Fifth Wheel Hitches Compatible With Reese Sidewinder Pin Boxes
  • Your Mopar M25 hitch is actually a Curt A-25 hitch and would be compatible with your Sidewinder pin box, you'd just need to use wedge kit # C16992 to lock the king pin into the jaws of the hitch. If your new Ram has an 8 ' bed and you no longer need the extra clearance then you can lockout the Sidewinder by installing two lockout bolts in the rear of the pin box. If you no longer have the bolts you can pick up two 3/4 inch Grade 5 bolts along with some conical washers and nuts from

  • Recommended Curt Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2024 Chevy SIlverado 2500 w/ the Factory Puck System
  • Since your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 has the shorter 6-3/4' bed, I recommend the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # C16566. The Q25 Slider has a 24,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns and backing. Curt's sliding 5th wheel hitches do not mount directly to the puck system so you will need to use the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch item # C88KR. This adapter connects directly to the pucks in your Silverado's bed and provides an industry standard

  • How To Properly Grease Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider
  • In regards to the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider part # C16566, there are grease zerks on the head and jaw that need lubricated as well as the skid plate and lock bar on the slider base. These will need to be lubed before each use and again after 1,000 miles per the manual. It is recommended to use black graphite grease for all lubrication, a few pumps should be good. There are no service procedures for the slider wheels. If you don't want to mess with greasing the skid

However, I'd recommend the Curt A16 hitch, part # C16521 over what Reese offers. Unlike the Reese hitch, the Curt A16 offers a torsion articulating system for the hitch head which helps isolate the tow vehicle from road shock and noise.
