All right everybody. It's about that time of the year. I heard some squeaking from my windshield wipers on my 2019 Toyota Highlander. So I'm going to go ahead and show you guys how to replace those blades with some of these ClearPlus windshield blades. We're going to need a 26" on one side and then of course the 20" on the passenger side. Let's just go ahead and get to it.
First thing we need to do is of course just take off our old blades. To do that are going to kind of lift up here. There's going to be a tab. Going to do our best to kind of get that with our fingers if we can. Nice.
And once we do that, you just tilted a little bit, we can kind of slide that off real easily. Now we can take our ClearPlus wiper and let me just tilt that down a little bit to get it into place.All right, like that. Slides in, just like the factory one and you can go ahead and lay it down. I'm pretty much done. What this one's going to have, it's going to have an extra coating on the bottom here to help with that squeaking noise I was talking about earlier.
And as you can see, we do have an extreme amount of flex and it's going to be mostly steel that this whole entire blade is made of. And that's what's going to keep all that flex just so it's going to match the curvature of your windshield. At the end of the day, windshield wipers just do what they need to do. And that's just to clear off your windshield when you're driving. Really it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to windshield wipers, but this one's just going to do what it needs to do and just curve to your windshield and just go to and fro.This was the 20" and the 26" on the other side is going to install the same exact way.
Our OEM ones that we took off, they we're a little kind of eaten up on the bottom, so they we're leaving a little bit of streakiness when it came to all that water kind of came through and went through one of those holes down in here. I do think it's going to solve our problem. I think really any clear view or any type of windshield wipers going to do the job. Just be sure to pick the right size of course. And one thing to note, whenever something is plastic and the one we pulled off of this vehicle was plastic, I'm not necessarily a fan of. Luckily with the ClearPlus, it is an all metal frame, so we really don't have to worry about it fading or anything else over time. But other than that, that's pretty much all you really need to know about the ClearPlus windshield wiper blades on our 2019 Toyota Highlander.

Nice quality blades. Inappropriately packed in large box for shipping and internal packaging broke open. Needed to re-tape tp keep plastic adapter in package. Otherwise fine.
We picked up a cheap, used car for $200 and aren't sure if we're keeping it. It sat for a while and all the rubber was a little funky. No one around had wipers for what I thought was worth the investment so I searched on line. I was looking at hitches and roof racks later for pricing and noticed etrailer had wipers. They had some very economically reasonable options as well the brand name and fancy winter booted ones. For less than the cost of two locally we got all three and they showed up in great shape and all fit. Really handy. I've been getting hitches and parts for years from etrailer and have never been disappointed with the the quality or the customer service.
