Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

R24 Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Non-Binding Design

The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.

With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.

With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

Showed up just in time to install and cross a few states to pick up our 1st new 5th wheel. Easy installation and showed up a few days early.

by: Marlon05/26/2023

Nice well made with thick material. Time would tell how sturdy it is. Easy to install, clear instructions with everything you need for it. (Nuts and bolts).
This is my second mounting kit that I get for my trucks.

High quality, heavy duty system. Bolted right in and instructions were easy to follow. I feel good about pulling our camper with this set up. Only issue was shipping, the box was damaged and was missing the pins that were ordered. But customer service quickly got thing fixed and resent.

by: Jacob06/29/2022

Upon delivery the box was a little banged up. Everything was inside was still in good condition. To my time with install to insure proper alignment, the only thing I can say negative about it is, you need 4 additional 3/4 inch washers for the frame bracket bolts that are not included, at least I did! On both sides. In the end it was a rather easy success.

There were no parts missing! Just 4 extra 34 inch washers were needed

2004 ChevroletSilverado

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, installed the Custom 5th Wheel Installation kit along with the Q16 Slider Hitch. Product arrived very quickly after ordering. It was shipped in 3 different boxes. One box was a little beat up during shipping, but all of the parts were there and undamaged. I watched the installation video once, then my brother-in-law and I tackled the job which took us about 2 hours. This was not difficult to install other than trying to get the 1/2" bolt through the hole on the driver side of the frame (the frame is boxed there). The included wire guide helped, but you still have to manipulate the bolt into the right position in a very tight spot. Everything turned out to be a perfect fit, no modifications needed. Also, I removed both rear wheels before starting which gave us plenty of working room. I have purchased from etrailer in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

by: Keagan09/11/2022

This kit is perfect! Comes with everything you need with easy to install instructions. I’d recommend this and other etrailer products. They match all factory specs. Simple and easy

Well built. Some bolts are a bugger to get tightened up but not bad. Didn't remove the heat shield.

by: Jim05/17/2021

Overall very happy with my Curt 5th wheel 24k hitch. I’m happy it came in pieces because of the weight totally assembled. Release spring for the slide is pretty stiff but I wouldn’t want it disengaging while driving down the road. Thanks for all your help Justin and your prompt service.

THE Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs. WAS EASY TO ORDER AND CAME PROMPLTY. INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY EASY TO READ WHICH MADE INSTALLATION SIMPLE AND EASY.

by: Sergio 04/13/2024

Love my fifth wheel on time delivery

by: Sean12/06/2023

Heavy duty and construction seems good. The slider handle will be tuff to use since the bed wall is so close and the spring is strong, not to mention the lack of room once a trailer is on there (possible re-design needed). Also wish it came with a few varying rubber shims that go under the assembly. The ones that came with it wont fit and without anything, it is metal to metal and a little sloppy. Other than that, I think it will work good and last a long time...

by: Austin 02/14/2024

Had an issue with my bank denying my order of two of the same items. Talked to Adam with customer service and he was fantastic. He got everything straightened out and received my order in less than two days

by: Brian 04/10/2024

Perfect fit and great quality.

BOXES WERE DEMOLISHED

by: Jeremiah 09/23/2016

Very strong product I would give five stars except the instructions would not be good for an every day truck owner but the E trailer video is really good the only issue with a long bed is you have to drill 4 holes in the front of the frame two on each side and be aware if you do have a long bed truck you will need a big drillbit for instants I used a 7/8 but the overall product is good shipping was great could not imagine having to install the universal brackets and this kit made it so much easier

Jeremiah

10/16/2017

Update I have probably put about 5000 miles of towing With this kit I have not had an issue with it still looks good no rust all the bolts are still tight

by: Paul01/22/2019

Three concerns/issues. One, is that my truck sits so high up in the air, (Dodge Power Wagon) that when I was hauling the trailer I had so many issues with swaying. If you tow behind is not fairly level this will happen. It took a long time to figure this out. Might want to pass this along to other customers

Two. Should the white disc go between the hitch and the tow behind as a protective disc?

Three. on pull behinds there are chains or cables in the event that the trailer unhooks from the hitch ball. There are no safety cables or chains for a fifth wheel. How come? Just inquiring.

by: Dennis08/19/2020

Like most customers the box was in really bad shape when it arrived. Everything was still together and not damaged. Received 2 of 3 boxes, contacted customer service since I needed the rail system for the rest of the assembly to mount on and they promised the rails would arrive the next day. I'm trusting they will get here. The Curt fifth wheel slider hitch is built substantially well and is impressive, cannot wait to hook up!

2005 GMC Sierra

I wish I could give two ratings for this kit, one for quality of product, and one for quality of fit and instruction. The product quality, once it is installed is very nice and heavy duty.
The instructions, and the fit on my 2005 GMC one ton dually leave a lot to be desired. They say it should take about 90 minutes to install. Plan on about 8 hours if you don't have a lift, and plan on drilling 3/4 inch holes in the frame rails. You better have access to a compressor, cut off wheel, 1/2 inch impact gun, 1/2 inch drill motor and 3/4 drill or reamer. This is NOT for the average "weekend warrior" with a small set of hand tools to install.

Just received this and haven't installed it yet. I plan to add it to my truck in about 2 weeks. This is exactly the same as my last truck which was a perfect fit. It also worked great pulling my 35-foot fifth wheel RV. I look forward to the same quality as before, perfection.

  • Recommended Easy to Use Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2020 GMC Sierra 2500
  • We've got a few options that would work for you. The B&W Companion with slider, part # BWRVK3775 would be a solid choice. The hitch uses 1 inch thick jaws that hold the king pin in a 360° grip for a superior ride. The slider is manually operated, but the rails that the hitch slides back and forth on are round, instead of the older rectangular bars that liked to bind up if you were parked anywhere that wasn't flatter than a pool table. This being said, I think you'd be happier with

  • You should be lubricating your Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider # C16566 through all four seasons. Doing this will also give you the opportunity to inspect your hitch 4 times a year as well. The jaw pin and the lower bearing grease fitting will receive grease through the grease fitting. You can use the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun Kit with Multi-Purpose Grease # L30132 to do this. The spiral cam and the skid plate will get grease like # L11316 applied to the surface.

  • Recommended Curt Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2024 Chevy SIlverado 2500 w/ the Factory Puck System
  • Since your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 has the shorter 6-3/4' bed, I recommend the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # C16566. The Q25 Slider has a 24,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns and backing. Curt's sliding 5th wheel hitches do not mount directly to the puck system so you will need to use the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch item # C88KR. This adapter connects directly to the pucks in your Silverado's bed and provides an industry standard

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Install Bracket/Rail Kit for 2020 Chevy 1500 4x4 Short Bed
  • For a Reese 16K sliding 5th wheel hitch and the install bracket/rail kit, you could go with the # C95DR 16K sliding 5th wheel hitch and the # RP56015-53 install kit. However, I'd recommend the Curt A16 hitch, part # C16521 over what Reese offers. Unlike the Reese hitch, the Curt A16 offers a torsion articulating system for the hitch head which helps isolate the tow vehicle from road shock and noise. The interlocking hitch jaws hold the king pin much more tightly around its circumference

  • From your picture I can tell your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 is a short bed so you'll need a slider hitch to allow you the clearance needed to make tight turns. Since car haulers can be pretty heavy you'll want a higher rated hitch like the Curt Q25 part # C16566 which has a 25k capacity. For a rail kit to install in the bed of your truck you'll want a custom install kit like the part # C16420-204 which will install in less time than a universal kit and will minimize drilling. • Replacement Base Rail Brackets For A Curt E-16 Hitch In A 2013 GMC Sierra
  • Since you're looking at base rail kits I'm assuming you're looking the brackets that mount the rails to the frame of your Sierra. If your have Curt rails ( # C16104 or # C16204) then you'll need part # C16400 for a 1500 or part # C16411 for a 2500/3500. If you have different rails I would need to know the exact model in order to find the appropriate brackets. If you're looking for something else then just take a picture of it and send me it and I'd be happy to look for a replacement.
