Video Transcript for How to Set Up Your ClearPlus Integrated Rear Window Wiper Blade on a 2017 Toyota RAV4

Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Clear Plus integrated rear wiper blade. Here today on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. Now guys, there's gonna be a nice little weight going ahead and exchanging out your old blades. You guys want to go ahead and see, you can see this little guy right here is definitely worn out and you can see the little rubber strip is falling off.

So he definitely needs to be replaced. That way we have a clear viewing out of our back window. That way we have no trouble seeing everyone behind us. So it's not going to take us too long to actually get this guy installed. And you guys take a closer look here at the blade itself.

You can see, we have a nice little frame contact throughout the entirety of it. So that's going to give us a good pressure on our blade, making sure we have a nice swoop. And of course we are clearing off all that rain and debris that might be on our back window. The rubber itself is going to be holding up for the seasons to come for ourselves. And I do like those frame elements because you get those constant little pressure points there.

Make sure that the blade isn't bending and coming undone and not making contact where you want it to. So it is going to be nice and flush against our window as we go across. It will do a good job of clearing it off. To get the other guy uninstalled though, we just simply come right up to it. We have this little guy right here.

So these guys are kind of pinched in. So what you want to do is kind of pinch it up like that and bring it out of the way. I makes it really easy to get that. And that way you actually can take this blade all the way up. Otherwise you're kind of stuck here and you can't really access what you need. So all we gotta do get that little cover out of the way, simply take this guy like so and for ours, we just want to kind of pivot that bottom element out of the way, and then start off the edge and that's going to go ahead and expose our hook here today guys. So today on our RAV4, we are working with this guy right here. So hopefully everybody's at home is going to be the exact same and that actually is going to need us to use our adapter. So there's only a couple of them that come with their clear plus. Now you can just go ahead and try to fit whichever one's going to work for you. Of course, we've already gone ahead and deduced that it is this guy. So hopefully that gives you a pretty good look on there of how we can get it installed. Then we want to take our adapter here. We're going to have these little black tabs right here, guys, and you can see where that tab wants to sit. So that kind of makes it a little easier to sit right in there for ourselves. And at the other end too, you can see, we have a nice little hook element there for us to sit into. So we just simply want to slot that in. I think we actually do want to go from the side right here, guys. I hit, I did have it align, but then I was talking about it to everybody and then we just simply want to take it like that. And there we are nice and installed for that adapter. And we can simply take this guy inserted in like so, pivot our bottom end down into position and there we are nice and secure all we got to do, bring our clever back in and there we go. Well, let's go ahead and see how it does. So here we are just simulating a little bit of rain. And as you guys can see it does a great job of clearing it off. I'm in the driver's seat and I'm seeing that it's doing a great job. I can see quite through it all right. It seems like it's doing a great job, not leaving any streaks or anything, which I do love to see. Well, as you guys can see, it did a very good job of clearing off our back windshield here, which is great. Of course, we really just want to be able to see through it. Getting that rain off there is gonna be huge thing. So love that we're getting good contact. Nice that we're only on that 10-inch blade. Usually the shorter your blade, the easier time you have and making sure you are having a good job of actually getting those good contact points throughout the entirety and that frame element with those four prongs there does a great job of making sure we're not leaving any streaks, nothing behind. That way we can clearly see behind us as we drive.
