The custom-fit TruXedo Pro X15 tonneau cover keeps your vehicles cargo safe and protected against weather elements. The soft cover rolls up in seconds to give you quick access to your truck bed, and features an extra-low profile design that helps to reduce wind drag while improving gas mileage. It also installs easily to the inside of the trucks bed rails, while still allowing access to the stake pockets.
The smooth, extra low profile cover does more than just catch your eye. The cover sits just 1/2" above your truck bed rails, which helps improve gas mileage. The unique, self-leveling design ensures that the rails are mounted properly, and the rear-mounted automatic tension control system allows the cover to keep tightly fitted to the edges of the bed in all weather conditions. Automotive-grade seals at the cab and tailgate keep dirt, dust, and water out of your trucks bed and off of your stored cargo.
The Pro X15 gives you full use of your truck bed. Simply roll the cover up and secure it behind the cab with included safety straps. This allows you to transport any extrusive equipment without having to remove the tonneau from your vehicle. Even when the cover is rolled up it doesnt block the cabs rear window, maintaining important visibility and awareness for the driver. The cover also mounts inside your truck bed rails, keeping most of the bed free for stored cargo while also allowing the use of stake-pocket-mounted accessories, tie-down anchors, rail caps, and bed extenders.
The cover is constructed of sturdy woven polyester fabric with a vinyl-coating, providing a stylish, matte-black appearance. The fabric resists dirt and dust, helping your cover stay clean longer. It also resists effects from extreme temperatures, UV rays, and color fading. It can be hand washed with mild soap and water or a trip to the car war wash would do the trick.
The Pro X15 installs easily with no drilling or special tools required. Simply clamp the tonneau cover side rails to your trucks bed rails, and attach the cover header to the tonneau rails at the cab using the spring-loaded latches. Secure the cover to the side rails with hook and loop fasteners as you unroll it, and latch it to the rails at the tailgate. Once the cover is completely unrolled and latched, close and lock the tailgate to finish securing your truck bed.
The Pro X15 is easy to operate. Just roll out the cover and press down on the rearmost slat at the tailgate to secure the tonneau in place. Industrial-grade hook-and-loop fasteners along the rails ensure secure fastening with no snaps or zip strips to mess with. To release the cover, simply pull the Quick Latch on the drivers or passengers side of the cover.

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Truxedo line of the Pro-X 15 soft Tonneau cover. Now because these covers are custom fit, it's very important that you use the fit guide, so you can figure out the exact one for your application.So regardless if you have a small truck like this Colorado all the way out to a big F-350 with an eight foot bed, we're gonna have a fit that's gonna work out really well for you.Now the pro-X 15 is gonna be a really good general use style Tonneau cover. It has the soft texture to it, really nice fabric material. The feel on it is good and solid. And unlike other soft Tonneau covers, we don't have the arches that we're used to. As you can see, it has a really low profile look to it like the Tonneau covers that we find that are more expensive generally, the rails are gonna sit inside the side of our truck bed.
That way, we don't have them sticking up and over. That's gonna give us access like you can see there on that corner to that stake pocket. And really, it's a pretty affordable cover.Now the cover itself offers us a lot of protection. One against theft, but also against the elements. Keeping out dust, dirt and water.
Like any Tonneau cover though, these are a water-resistant kind of a situation. There's always gonna be a little seam somewhere, water getting in from somewhere, it's just what we see even with the most expensive Tonneau covers that we carry. But overall, it'll be a really good solution for protecting items from the elements.Now for the theft portion, with any locking tailgate, once you've secured this down, you're not gonna have to worry about anybody getting to the release. It's an internal release, there's no external release. But then, we can simply open our tailgate up there, single-handed operation, so we can release it on the driver's side, roll that out to tilt up and we can just begin to roll it forward.We've got a spring loaded latch right here on our backside.
This constantly applies tension to our cover, so as our seasons change, that'll expand and contract a little bit to keep everything nice and tight.Now comparing this releasing mechanism to other Tonneau covers that are available, I will say that having the handle just on the driver's side is a slight drawback for me. Other covers will have them on both sides where you can easily release it from both sides. I don't think it's a huge problem, most trucks aren't that wide, but just definitely something to keep in mind.Now as we close our cover, we wanna ensure that our tailgate seal comes down and lays right on top of our gate force giving us additional protection. So we'll wanna have our gate closed, we wanna get our cover in position and then just press down 'til we hear the click.The overall feel of the cover is gonna be a lot like a convertible top or a Jeep top. It has a good textured feel to it.
It's a polyester upper material here, it gives us a nice matte look. Then on the bottom side, you'll see as we roll it up, fully vinyl coated so you're not gonna have to worry about any moisture getting through to the inside through our cover.As we continue to roll it up, you'll notice it only takes one person, and we have our cross-supports here. Unlike the old cross-supports where you had to stick it in and get the other side in, usually you just broke them. These are automatic. As we roll it up, they're gonna roll up with our cover. As we unroll our cover, they just automatically go in, rest right down on our rail, giving us the support that we need.Another nice thing I like about the style of this cover is that with it fully rolled up, we've got full access to our bed. We can load up those larger items, but we also have a full view out of our back window. A lot of times with other covers, they're gonna come up and block either a portion or all of that back window, leaving you without your rear view mirror. In this case, it still remains fully functional for us.Now one thing you will wanna keep in mind is that as we add these rails to the inside here, we're gonna lose a little bit of our bed width. From the actual side of the bed, the portion right here but a little bit further in to the outside here, we've got about three inches.Something else I really like and I think is an improvement over older style covers like this is that the hook and loop material that they're using here, really seems very superior. It's very wide, but it also feels really heavy duty. So as we bring our attention side to side, we can feel it get a good hold, no doubt that it's grabbing a hold really well. And we just run down all the way, it gives us a nice tight seal here on the outside.Now Tonneau covers like this can help to improve the ride quality in your truck too. Basically as that wind's coming over the cab or if we get into crosswinds, they don't get in the box of the bed and cause that shifting side to side. So it's gonna smooth out everything if you get in those situations, and it can save you a little bit of money at the gas pump.Now as far as the installation process goes, it's gonna be really straight-forward. You're gonna need one tool, either a half-inch wrench or socket. That's really straight-forward. And then depending on your bed size, this one's a shorter bed, so we've got three clamps. One positioned here, here and then one closer to the back. On a long bed application, you'll have two here in the middle, so you'll just wanna split that difference.But overall, nice, quick and easy to get installed. And all of the adjustments you're gonna need to make as far as up here for our initial adjustment and our tension adjustment, can really be done by hand.Now my overall first impression of this cover, comparing it to other covers in its category, is that it's really solid. I think they've put a lot of nice features in it. I was reading through a lot of reviews online and trying to see what people have used them for a year or so are saying about them, and everybody seems to have good, positive things to say about it. Lasts a long time, it stays nice and tight, so I don't think you're gonna run into any big issues with this.And that's gonna complete our look at the Truxedo Pro-X 15 soft Tonneau covers.

This is the 3rd vehicle I have installed tuxedo covers on. It is a quality product, with easy installation. It is great for keeping contents of truck bed dry and secure. The low profile really makes the truck look amazing . Well worth the price.

This is a great cover. It works perfectly with my Adarac bed rack. Installs easily and is made with premium materials. Functions great and stays surprisingly clean being that it is matte black. Haven't noticed any fading so far.

This took me about 1.5 he to install. It turned out very nice. Instructions had lots of pictures and were very easy to install for a 72 year old.The goal was to coverup the 5th wheel hitch and cargo in the bead,wind deflection, a small enough rollup to be able to see the 5th wheel thru the rear view mirror when hitching up and the price for the quality wal good. A great cover. Took me about an hour to install…..pretty easy. I like the way it rolls up….one person can do it. I also like the latching system…the top is secure when the tailgate is closed. And, the truck looks great….2022 Ram 2500 crew cab.
After one year, temperature swings from -40 to 100 degrees the cover still looks great!
I really like the Truxedo Pro15 for its’ quality and ease of use. I’ve had it a year now and it still looks almost new and the truck is not parked in a garage. We just got back from a 5,725 mile road trip across much of the country and we never had a problem. We kept our camping gear, fishing poles and spare suitcases in the back without issues. I like being able to roll it up and fill up the truck with debris to go to the dump too. Installation wasn’t quite as easy for one person as some of the reviews said but instructions were good and it went pretty well.

The cover in general is great.. However, I am having a problem with the cover being too tight against the tailgate lid. Why ????? Problem: When I get the cover in place with the clip on the left down and snapped in place, I can not open the tailgate of my Ford F-150 to open either with the key fob or manually by pushing the tailgate button on the gate itself. Every time I try, the gate unlocks (click) and then locks again within less than a second. I have to reach under the Velcro side and release the clip to allow the very end of the cover to relax and allow the tailgate to open. I believe there may be too much pressure down on the tailgate lid across the back to allow the tailgate to move automatically. Is there any dealer near me that could look at the installation and tell me what's wrong I love the cover, but use it in a mostly loose position or rolled up. I would appreciate any help you may be able to offer. Thanks

Great low profile cover, super easy install on our Sierra
I normally go for the cheapest items, but in this case I decided to spend a little more. It was worth it. This cover is better quality than I expected for the price. I've had cheap covers before, and this one was worth the upgrade. Strong rigid fabric, and the velcro shows no signs of wear after the first year. It had up to a foot of snow & ice on it at some points last winter, and you can't tell at all.
So far so good, the fit and finish is great and the canvas finish looks better than anything else out there. Wi the built-in cross supports I can roll it up and unroll it by myself, I couldn't be happier.
After one year having the TruXedo Pro X15 tonneau cover, I still love it. Installation was super easy with clear instructions. I really like that there is only one lever for the release. My old tonneau cover I had to grab a strap on both sides of the truck bed at the same time and pull them backwards together. This one has one lever on the drivers side that is very easy to operate. The matte black finish with the canvas material is really sharp and hasn't faded at all (the truck is always parked outside). The only negative is that the cover has to be released before closing the tailgate. This is not a big deal, just took some getting used to and changing my habits. Great product and Etrailer delivered free and super quick shipping as always!

I’ve had the cover for a year now and it still looks new. I like the extremely low profile and the fact that it doesn’t intrude into the bed space along the rails (I pull a 5th wheel and there’s plenty of space for turning). If I had to pick one thing I don’t like is you have to open the cover before you close the tailgate. Otherwise the seal doesn’t get positioned correctly. It rolls up out of the way very nicely and doesn’t intrude on the bed space or front of the trailer when turning.
The cover has not lived up to my expectations. Closing the latch was vary difficult the had to be pulled up ever time it was closed. A tear in the material at the tail gate end also. One of the catches has broken.
Really like the X15. Was extremely easy to put on. Took maybe 25 mins. Rained the first day I had it on. Bed was completely dry.
