Rain, dust, and road grime can ruin what’s in the bed if your cover doesn’t seal tight. The Extang E-Series uses a full perimeter rubber seal around the edges to keep moisture and debris out. When the tailgate is closed and locked, the spring-loaded clamps keep the cover tight against the bed so your gear stays protected from the elements.
You don’t always need the whole bed open, and that’s where the tri-fold setup comes in handy. Just lift the rear panel for quick tailgate access or fold up the rear and center panels to open two-thirds of the bed. The lightweight aluminum frame makes it easy to handle, and you can drive with it fully closed or fully open without hassle.
Some covers require rails, bolts, or a pile of hardware to install. The E-Series skips all that. The attachment hardware is built into the cover, and the spring-loaded tailgate clamps make it simple to secure. No tools or drilling are needed, and since nothing stays on the bed once you remove it, you can take the whole cover off in minutes when you need the full bed.
This soft folding cover combines a durable vinyl grain top with a sturdy lightweight aluminum frame. That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
