When the snow stacks up or the road ices over, the grooved square links on these ladder-pattern chains dig in hard. Each groove grips deeper than smooth or rounded links, giving your wide tires the traction they need to pull through thick snow, icy gravel, or muddy ruts. The ladder pattern keeps steady forward movement, perfect for long climbs and slick descents.
Getting a snug fit on tire chains can be tough when the temperature drops, but these come with assisted tensioning cams that do the hard work for you. Just twist the cams with the included tool and the side chain pulls tight around the tire. A few quick turns and you’re ready to roll. For an even firmer hold, you can add rubber adjusters (sold separately).

There’s no sense wearing out a good set of chains early. Each link on these pewag chains works on both sides, so when one side shows wear, flip them over and keep going. That reversible design stretches their life far beyond a standard chain. Dry them after use before storing and they’ll be ready for next winter’s storms.
Built from nickel manganese alloy steel, these chains are made for strength and durability. The hardened outer layer stands up to scratches, corrosion, and general wear, while the inner metal keeps its toughness under stress. It’s the kind of construction that holds up when you’re driving through deep snow day after day.
These chains are designed specifically for wide-base, dual, or super-single tires, giving you full traction coverage on big setups. One set includes two chains, so you can tackle the worst winter roads with confidence that your tires will stay locked in and moving forward.

These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners. So these chains are going to be designed for some of those more wide and thick tires that you may have, and it is going to give you an extremely aggressive grip. So it is kind of like a ladder patterned-style with these square links. They're going to wear evenly, and they're all made of the same material, which is a manganese nickel alloy steel.
So it's going to resist against that rust and corrosion and all of that salt that's on the road when there's snow. Also, it does have some cam tensioners. They're really, really easy to do and it just makes it very easy to install, because we all know if you're putting these on, you're either stuck or in some cold situations. So making it really easy to put these on is definitely a plus for me.So these square links are going to be about 5.6 mm in width. So it's going to be pretty big.
And with this cross chain pattern as well, it's going to give you about 32% more traction, compared to some of the other ones in this market. So these aren't the most aggressive chains that we get for these tires. We do have some V-Bar ones that are going to be a lot more aggressive. They're going to have more like daggers sticking out. They're going to grip a lot better, but they're going to wear a little bit more. Also, there's some twist links that we have.
It's not going to be as aggressive as our square links here, but they're going to ride a little bit smoother as well. But all of these are going to come in a pack of two. So if you have four wheel drive applications or all wheel drive, just go ahead and use our fit guide on our website, and just type in your tire size and just grab two pair.We do also recommend just grabbing one of these rubber tensioners. It does not come with your kit, but we do sell them here at etrailer.com, so it's the one stop shop.Well everyone, that's just about it for our look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners.

These chains on my Jeep Rubicon are fantastic. I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT in the mountains of Colorado. I need to get to emergency incidents in the worst of weather. These chains make that possible.
