Titan Chain Tire Chains - TC4819CAM

The V-bar studs on these chains bite into ice to give you superior traction. Low-carbon steel twist links are great in deep snow. Cams let you quickly adjust the fit for simple installation. Includes chains for driver's and passenger's sides.

V-Bar Icebreakers

The V-shaped studs (also known as icebreakers, spikes, or cleats) that are built into these twist-link tire chains bite into ice, providing superior grip for a safer ride on ice-covered roads.

Installation

1. Drape the chain over both tires of your dual-tire setup, making sure that the center chain is between the tires and that the V-bars are facing out. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)

2. Drive forward about 1/4 of a tire revolution.

3. Fasten the ends of the chain together.

4. Use the cam tensioning devices to tighten. Do this by inserting the flat end of the included wrench into the slot on each cam and twisting it.

5. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed.

You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

185/60-15

(185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
(60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
(15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

Recommended Tire Chain Set for Dually Tires Size LT225/75R16
For your dual tires on your 2003 Ford E-350, it is not recommended to only use the chains on the outermost tire because that won't provide even traction or weight support. I highly recommend using chains designed for use with dually axles. I really like the V-Bar style chains because they really bite into the snow and ice for superior tractions. Titan chain offers the # TC4819CAM that is designed dual rear wheel set up on your box truck. These chains are great for occasional to moderate use. If you'll be constantly finding yourself in situations where the chains are needed, and the chains will be used more frequently, I'd recommend the Pewag # PWE4219SC square link chains. Tire Chain Recommendation for 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500
We have the Titan tire chains part # TC4219CAM which are a fit for the tire size you have on your Sprinter of 215/85-16 and would work great. These are a twist link style of chain which means it would be a little smoother and these are a dually design so they will cover both tires on either side of the vehicle. If breaking up ice was the priority over ride you would instead want the V-bar part # TC4819CAM, or if deep snow the square link # TC4219SCAM.
