Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Long Miles: Load Range J with 62-mph Speed Rating

When you’re running serious weight, this setup is ready. The Triangle 235/75R17.5 radial tire carries a heavy-duty 18-ply rating and handles up to 6,005 lbs at 125 psi. It’s paired with a matching steel wheel rated for the same load, so both components are equally tough. The J speed rating (62 mph) means it’s made to stay stable and cool on real highway trips without giving up strength.

Confidence in Every Weather: Radial Construction with All-Steel Belts

Highway miles throw a lot at your tires—heat, rain, and rough pavement—but this radial design keeps its composure. All-steel belts boost durability and extend tread life, while the computer-generated tread pattern grips well in wet or dry conditions. Wide shoulders promote even wear, so it stays smooth and predictable mile after mile.

Corrosion Resistance that Lasts: Silver Powder-Coated Modular Steel Wheel

Moisture and road grime can eat through lesser finishes fast. This modular steel wheel uses a three-step finishing process with a zinc phosphate bath, e-coat primer, and silver powder coat applied on both sides. The result is a clean look that fights rust and stands up to long-term use, even in harsh environments.

Ready for Reliable Installation: Hub-Piloted Wheel with +.50" Offset

Getting the right fit matters when you’re setting up a new tire and wheel. This assembly uses an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, a +.50" offset, and a 4.76" pilot diameter for precise alignment. It’s designed as a hub-piloted wheel that works with flange nuts (sold separately) for secure mounting and dependable balance on the road.

Peace of Mind from Day One: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Real-world use isn’t always gentle, which is why this tire comes backed by a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If it’s damaged in any way during the first 12 months, it’ll be replaced at no charge. That kind of coverage makes every trip feel just a little more relaxed knowing you’ve got protection built in.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Triangle Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire with Wheel Combo - TR53VR

Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Triangle 235/75R17.5 Heavy-Duty Radial Tire with a 17 1/2 inch modular wheel. It does have a positive .5 offset, and it's an eight on 6 1/2 inch lug pattern, Load Range J. So, folks, this tire and wheel assembly is designed for trailers. It's a heavy-duty steel wheel with a modular, these holes in the outside there, that's what they call a modular design. It is super sturdy and is corrosion-resistant.

Has a nice three-step finish process, including zinc phosphate bath, then an e-coat primer, then they follow that up with a silver powder coat on both sides of the wheel, which is uncommon. A lot of times they just cover the outside part that would be seen, but it looks like they went ahead and did both, which is nice. Now, this particular wheel is what's called a hub-piloted wheel, and that's gonna require the use of flange nuts, which are sold separately, and that would require the use of a 5/8 inch by 18 thread on those flange nuts. The pilot hole diameter here is 4.76 inches wide. The tire size is a 235/75R17.5, and it's a radial tire so it's great for highway use.

It's got all-steel belts, which are gonna enhance the durability and extend the tread life. And it's got computer aided, computer-designed rather, tread, and it's got a nice premium rubber compound material in the tread itself. That's gonna offer superior traction, wet and dry conditions alike. The wide shoulders here promote even wear on the tread, and it's a nice, high-quality wheel that meets all DOT standards. The rim, again, is a 17 1/2 diameter by 6 3/4 inches wide.

The wheel capacity is 6,005 pounds,, and the maximum load for the tire and wheel is 6,005 pounds at 125 PSI. Has Load Range J, which means it's an 18-ply tire, and it also has a max speed rating of J, which is 62 miles per hour. So, watch your speeds on the highways. The number one reason tires fail is because they get too hot. Folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look today at this Triangle Wheel and Tire Combo.

I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
