Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver side factory mirror on several year ranges and models of Subaru vehicles, including the 2016 through 2017 Crosstrek, the 2015 through 2016 Impreza, the 2015 through 2017 WRX, and the 2015 XV Crosstrek. This is modeled after the Subaru's original look and fit. So you can trust that this is going to fit in place. It's going to look like a cohesive part of your vehicle.

So you don't have to worry about that pieced together from the junkyard sort of look, it's all gonna look very integrated. Like it came with your vehicle, right from the factory. It does use the same footprint as the original mirror. So it is gonna be super easy to get installed. You're not gonna have to worry about drilling new holes or anything like that.

So, this is going to fit right in place. Basically just remove the original, put this one in its place, and you'll be ready to go. It's got the same plug in. So just unclip the original, put this in that same connector, and you'll be ready to use all of the extra features for this including the power remote capabilities. So you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.

This does also have the heated mirror glass that's gonna help clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. Now keep in mind power remote capability and the heated mirror glass will only work if your vehicle is already equipped with those functions, it's not going into add that functionality to a vehicle that didn't have it already. One thing this mirror is missing that the original might have had is a turn signal. So you can see there is no turn signal on this mirror. So a little bit less functionality as the original if you had that.

But overall, really great option here to replace that original if it's become damaged or for whatever reason you're needing to replace it. This is gonna have the same OE grade quality materials as the original, the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome. So you're gonna get a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens. So it's gonna give you a true representation of the object size behind you. So it's gonna very safe as you're changing lanes or backing up, you'll be able to see what's behind you. This does have the breakaway design so the mirror's gonna fold in when struck to help to absorb some of that impact and deter breakage. So if you we're to run into the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that it's gonna help to minimize that impact. But this does have a nice durable plastic housing with a textured, or textured in some places kind of smooth in most places, black finish here. So it is gonna look really nice. This also can be painted to match the color of your vehicle, again, to just give it that much more of an integrated look. Now, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, this is going to replace the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you pull off the original mirror if you see that number anywhere you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need.
