Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side side-view mirror on your 2013-2015 Toyota RAV4. It's modeled after your Toyota's original look and fit, so you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your vehicle, right from the factory.

It does have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the heated mirror glass that's going to clear frost, ice and reduce fogging. On the side here, you've got the amber light, it's going to flash when your turn signal is activated and you also have the blind spot detection system or the BSDS, which is the light on the mirror face that turns on when there's another vehicle in your blind spot.Keep in mind, all those features are dependent upon your vehicle. This mirror doesn't add those features. It simply works with them if your vehicle already has those upgrades installed.

The mirror is an OE Grade, so it's going to be the same quality as the mirror that came with your vehicle from the factory. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, so you're going to get a nice, clear image. And it is a flat lens, so you're not going to have any warping or distortion. You're going to be able to see the true representation of the objects behind you. It does have the breakaway design, so if you we're to back into a pole or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror will bend in to try and help reduce the damage to the mirror itself.It is made of a very durable plastic, so you're not going to have to worry about that.

It's nice, durable, black finish. It's going to be very easy to install, you're not going to have to do any drilling or anything like that. It's got the same footprint as the original, so basically you just take the old mirror off, plug your plug into the plug, coming out of your vehicle to get all those power remote capability and the light, all those different features. That's what the plug is for. Really, it's going to just plug right in to where your original mirror was.
