Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side-view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side mirror on the vehicles that you can see listed on the screen there, so it is going to fit several different models. But if your vehicle is any one of those, you can trust that this is going to be a direct replacement. Because it is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit, you're really not going to be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror.

It's going to look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory, so it should blend in nicely and not give you that pieced together from the junkyard kind of look. It's going to look like it came with the vehicle, so all very integrated and seamless.It does have your manual remote adjustment here so you can adjust it with the little knob inside your vehicle so that you can get the right angle to see at the angle that you need. It is an OE-grade product, so it's going to have the same quality materials. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome, so it's going to give you a nice clear image to see any objects, or vehicles, or persons behind you. The lens is a flat lens, so it's going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you as well.

It does have a durable plastic housing with a black finish on it.As far as the installation goes, it's going to be extremely simple. We've got the same mounting footprint as the original, so basically all you have to do is loosen the original, take it off, put this one in its place. You're not going to have to worry about drilling any new holes or anything like that. The hardest part of this installation is probably going to be fishing this wire up inside your door. If it we're me, now this just my personal recommendation, I've never actually installed this mirror, but what makes sense to me is when you're taking the original out, tie some string to the knob, maybe in a lasso style so that it grabs onto that ball top tightly.

And then as you're pointed down through the door, that string will follow through. When you get a completely removed, take off that lasso and put it on this new one and pull it back up through the door. Now, that seems to be what would make the most sense to me, what I would try first.There aren't any instructions for this mirror, but it should be pretty simple to just bolt it in place. Like I said, getting that wire up through there could be the hardest part, but it should still be fairly simple for you to do to replace this yourself. This mirror does come with a 90-day warranty from K-Source, so if you we're to have any problems with it, you could give us a call, we'd help you out with that.

But overall, I think it's going to be a great option for you if you need the driver's side mirror. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for you, this is going to be a direct replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you look at your original mirror, you see that number or you're going through your owner's manual, you find that number there you can trust this is the mirror that you need.And this is just the driver's side.
