Today we are going to be taking a look at the K-source replacement side mirror for the driver's side of your vehicle. This product fits a 2008-2011 Mercury Mariner and a 2008-2012 Ford Escape. The side view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your vehicle. This is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It does feature power remote capability, that way you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factor power controls from within the vehicle. When it comes to the mirror glass, we're looking at a heated design, so that's going to do a great job at clearing frost and ice, and reduce fogging. It is going to be an OE-grade, flat glass with first-surface plating to reflect clear images and it does feature our breakaway design, so if the mirror is struck, it'll fold to help deter breakage. When it comes to the housing on the unit, we're looking at a durable, plastic housing with a nice textured black finish.
This is an easy, no drill installation. It's going to use the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror and then the mirror is going to plug into the existing electrical wiring on the vehicle. The original equipment OE-number is 9L8Z17683CA and please keep in mind that the power remote capability and heated glass of the mirror will work only if your vehicle is already equipped with those functions.
