Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your 2014 and newer Jeep Cherokees. It is modeled after the Cherokee's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should blend in well with your vehicle, look like it came with your Cherokee right from the factory.

It does have the power remote capability like your original mirror, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. Keep in mind that's only going to work if your vehicle already has that capability. This mirror will not add that capability to your vehicle, but if your original mirror was able to do it, this mirror will also be able to do that.A few things that this mirror will not be able to do, it does not have the turn signal on the back here, so it's not going to light up the back of your mirror when you're turning. It's also not going to have the memory function. If you have that already on your vehicle, your other mirror was capable of doing that, unfortunately, this mirror will not save different driver preferences, so keep that in mind.

But other than that, it is pretty much the exact same quality as your original mirror. It's made of OE grade materials. So the front of our glass is plated with a reflective chrome to give us a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens to represent the true size and representation of the objects behind us. So we're not going to have to worry about any sort of warping or distortion.

We'll get a nice, clear image so we can see what's coming up behind us.It does have the breakaway design, so the mirror will fold in if you we're to back into a post or a garage door or something like that. And that's to help kind of minimize the impact of the collision to try and help reduce any sort of breaking. But this does have a very durable plastic housing with a very subtle textured black finish to it, so it's going to look nice, should hold up very well for you.As far as our installation, it's going to be extremely simple. This does have the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror. So essentially, all you're going to have to do is take your old mirror off, put this one on in its place, tighten down the hardware, the electrical plug and everything will match up with the original.

So, very easy to get installed, no worries there. For those of you who do like the details, this is a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there and this is just the driver's side mirror.
