Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. So this is going to be a custom fit direct replacement for your side mirror, this is for the driver's side, and this fits the 1987 through 1996 Dodge Dakota, which has a special place in my heart because that was my first car. So this is going to be that direct replacement you need to replace your broken or busted up mirror. We can take a little closer look at it and make sure that it's going to be the right piece to fit your vehicle.So you can see it is going to be a manually adjusting mirror, you'll have this toggle to adjust the face there and get that dialed in so you can eliminate any blind spots. It is going to have a flat glass design, which is typical for our driver's side. It is an OE grade flat glass, so it's going to give you that true representation of whatever's behind you.
The housing is made out of a durable plastic with a glossy black finish. There's a no drill installation, it should just match up directly to the footprint of your original mirror. It comes with new flange nuts to go in place and hold that down.So you just take off the old one, detach the old attachment there, and then pop this new guy in place, tighten the hardware down, that's pretty much all there is to it. came super quickly and was exactly as described, easy to install to boot. Thank you!
Etrailer ordering and delivery are great. The replacement outside mirror looks good and functions well however the fit to the body of the truck is not the best. There is a 1/8 to 1/4 inch gap between the body of the truck and mirror. Also it didn't have the rubber boots that keep water air out. I'm afraid it will leak water into the door or make a wind noise.
