Today we're going to be taking a look at the K Source Replacement Side Mirror for the passenger's side of your vehicle. This product fits a 2010 to 2014 Honda Insight EX. The side-view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on the vehicle. This has been modeled after the manufacturer's original so it can fit. It's going to feature power mode capability, that way you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle. It's also going to feature a heated mirror glass. That's going to do a great job at clearing frost and ice as well as reducing fogging.
We have an amber light her on the side of the mirror that's going to flash when the turn signal is activated. When it comes to the glass, we're looking at a OE grade convex glass with reflect surface plating to reflect clear images. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome and the convex lens provides a nice wide angle view that really helps reduce blind spots. It does feature a breakaway design so if the mirror is struck from the from or from the back, it will fold to help deter breakage. The housing is a durable plastic housing with a black finish. The cover can be painted to match the vehicle if needed.
It's an easy no-drill installation. It's going to use the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror and then the mirror's going to plug into the existing electrical wiring. You're going to have the three mounting studs. Each stud is going to come with a nut that gets installed in there and it's also going to come with the foam pad with a piece of backing so you can peel it and take that off. The original equipment or OE number is 6200TM8316ZD. Please keep in mind that the power mode capability, and the heated glass and turn signal, the mirror will work only fro vehicles already equipped for those functions.
