Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the Valterra E-Valve Electronic Waste Valve. This is gonna work for your RV's black water tank and it makes a three-inch hub-and-spigot connection. So, just like it says, electronic valve, it's gonna replace your existing manual black tank sewer valve or another electrical one if you already have one. And when you get this installed and wired up, all you're gonna have to do is push this to open this valve electronically. Push it back to close the valve electronically as well.
So, very simple to use. You got a nice reset button here as well. And again, this is a three-inch, standard size, again, for the black water. And it's got the motor here. And then it does have an actual pin here.
So, let's say, for some reason I lost power or whatever, I could easily pop this pin out here, and then I could manually raise this and lower this if I needed to. So, I can just simply twist that and then I can still manually raise and lower it. So, to me, that gives me a nice peace of mind, and it really is pretty simple. It's just a piece of plastic here that pops right back into place, and then it's ready to go back whenever you get to power or whatever. Quite honestly, you probably wouldn't have to worry about that as long as you have enough solar power or batteries that are charged in your battery bank on your off-grid setup.

A bit challenging to install because of trailers tank position, hopefully it doesn't fail anytime soon because the manual lever is mid trailer.

The items was delivered on time. Good experience overall with etrailer! Just received and connected it to a battery, and it works. Will install it in a week or so.
First super fast shipping!! The parts are very high quality and surprisingly actually easy install, the valve took about 15-20 I was more afraid of getting any of the gray water on me than changing the valve, but surprisingly it was super easy. The wiring being 12v with the plug and play with the auto valve was again very easy for any diy Rv owner. Highly recommend. One quick note I installed three separate auto valves one of them. The cable was about 3 feet short so if they’re not long enough, he will have to splice in three wires. Wire size in the picture bought at Lowe’s.
