From the start,the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. So far this has been a great hitch. Takes up a lot less space than the massive auto slider hitch that I had previously, and have had no problem with any sharp turns so far. It is also much easier to handle by myself taking it out of the truck. The only thing I’ve had some problems with is getting the handle lock pin out once I’m ready to disconnect. To solve, I’ve started wedging the flat part of my crowbar under the head of the pin and tapping it with a rubber mallet from underneath.1485356

So far so good. Hitch appears to be good quality. It was easy to install after installing the mounting kit. I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on how it handles when pulling a camper.1472957

Love this hitch, very solid! Pretty light weight, easy to get in and out when I need to use the full truck bed. Easy height adjustment to get my 5th wheel riding level when towing.1470969

This hitch is great! Works flawlessly and is easy to install. Directions for mounting hardware sucks . I I’m on of those who like to just hold it up and see how it works. I recommend reading the crappy instructions and then hold the brackets up. Front bar directions good rear bar is bad .1530914

This hitch is amazing. I replaced an older Reese hitch. With my old hitch there was constant shucking and could feel the trailer pushing the truck while stopping. There is no more shucking and you can “barely tell” there’s a trailer behind me anymore. The coupling and uncoupling with the cam action lever is extremely simple!

I just got it installed looking forward to connecting the trailer. But, the trailer is in the shop! I spent a lot time evaluating hitches and decided on the B&W Patriot 18K. I would like to better packing for shipping, the finish on the hitch got damaged.1445944

Great hitch in my 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed. I had to contact B&W due to a concern with tightening the mounting bolts. The threads in the holes are painted, B&W said to run a tap through the threads. Also I was missing a few bolts on previously installed mounting kit. B&W sent me the whole bolt kit overnight for free. Awesome American company proudly supporting their products. I highly recommend their products. Also etrailer sent this hitch to me in a timely manner at a great price. I would use etrailer again. Thank you!1353471

This is an excellent hitch, easy install on existing mounting rails! Etrailer had the best price by far and provided free shipping! I would highly recommend this company, the only issue I had was with UPS freight, who sat on my shipment for two full weeks before delivering it.1749135

Unit is solid and well built, just as advertised. Assembly and installation was straightforward but prepare for lifting help as the base unit is quite heavy.

This is my first time using a fifth wheel hitch so I don’t have anything to compare it to but other people recommend it to me I haven’t had any issues with this well built hitch and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.1744599

I did my research on this hitch and was convinced it was the one I wanted yet I still felt the need to get some input from the pros, 2 phone calls (one to E-trailer and one to B&W) and I came away with peace of mind that the B&W was the right one for me. Best of all they did not try to up sell me to the 22k hitch two rv dealers tried to tell me I would need to safely pull the 16,500 gvwr 5th wheel I was in the process of buying. The hitch was reasonably priced, arrived in a timely manner in good condition and installation was straight forward. Bottom line I couldn’t be happier with my B&W hitch but most of all my decision to buy it from etrailer610624

We received the hitch and brackets packaged very well. The installation went well and pretty straight forward.
We did not have our 5th wheel to set the height but took a lucky guess at 18". We picked the RV up and couldn't be happier with this hitch. Absolutely no chucking, very smooth ride. We have an uneven slope to back down to get to our RV pad and were concerned about that. With the swivel on this hitch, backed with no problem. We wouldn't settle for any other hitch if we have to ever buy another one.
The RV sales and service people were very impressed with this hitch and the way it is set up with the frame brackets.

I have always had bumper pull RVs. This is my first 5th wheel and 5th wheel hitch. It took approx 5-1/2 hrs to install the rails, hitch, and 7-way extension on a '17 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with Ramboxs. I love the construction and the "feel" of the hitch. Directions were easy to follow. I get the trailer in a couple days, so no comment on towing, but I am not anticipating any complications. Looking forward to using this hitch for years to come.1691666

There was a snafu on the delivery of this, like it ending up 1000 miles from my house on the first try, and then the delivery company getting mad at me for not having a forklift at my house. Since I just got this yesterday I can't say much ab out it yet, I am still trying to install it. I do suggest a hoist in your garage if you plan on removing this hitch at all, it is heavy. It looks to be in great condition though! I can't wait to get it attached so I can give it a test drive on a 2 hour trip. I can tell you that two RV retailers suggested this B&W hitches, so I have high hopes. With all the products on the market today, to get recommendations from two different companies that installs them, is impressive.1582511

Functionally, this is a rock solid 5th wheel hitch. It takes a bit to get the hang of using it, and it is very heavy to move, when you want to access more of the truck bed. I have yet to use the slider function and after using it for a year, I can’t see that I will ever need to.1575762

Overall a very solid hitch. The dual jaw system I’ve never used before just had a slide bar, and after one year using this hitch, the jaws are very forgiving especially when the hitch is in a bind. Just pull the handle and the jaws release with ease.1687722
