Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Nut Driver Set

Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at this nut driver set. This is going to help you get any kind of job done where you have a specific size of nut, bolt, or screw that you need to get in place. The thing that I like about this kit is that it does come with this little kind of tray. It's not anything really fancy or special, but it does just give it an easy way to pop this into your toolbox and not have things just roll around, it kind of gives everybody a dedicated spot to live so that they stay in one spot. And they also have a color-coded design so that it makes it easy to remember that the brown is your 11 millimeter socket, so you won't have to worry about kind of grabbing it and figuring out like, "Oh, which one is this" It just makes it easy that once you get used to the set, you can just grab whichever color you know is the right size for you.So again, this is an eight piece set, and it is a metric set. There is an SAE set, if you prefer to have that standard set as well to kind of compliment this, you could also find that here at etrailer.com, I would suggest picking it up.

But let's take a closer look at what you actually get in this kit. So we're going to go from five millimeter to six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, and 12, and again, color-coded. Now, between this and the SAE set, they are the same color, so that might make it a little bit tricky. I would maybe leave everything in the trays and write big letters somewhere like metric versus SAE, to kind of help differentiate which one's which. That is one thing that I kind of wish that they would've thought about whenever they made the two kits, is either used all different colors or made some kind of differentiator between those two sets, but that's kind of my own thing. They do have it written pretty nicely on the end of each of these drivers to make it simple to figure out which size it is, and see if it is metric or standard size, and it's also printed on the end, so if that happens to wear off over time, you'll still have the end to refer to.

And again, after a while of using these, you should probably be able to remember which one is which, but having that stamped into the metal just ensures that it's always going to be there to make it easy. These shafts are a chrome vanadium steel with a chrome plating over the top, so they should be pretty corrosion resistant. The handles are pretty comfortable. They're kind of a triangular shape, so it's pretty easy to index those and twist to get things tightened up, so I think that should do a pretty good job of giving you a good grip. As far as the tray size, just for reference, if you do want to put this into a toolbox or something like that, it's about 8 1/4, 8 1/2", it kind of flares out at the bottom, so you can maybe get it to sit a little bit more snugly since it, again, it is just really flexible, kind of thin plastic here. And that's about 9 1/2", and about 1 1/4" tall. That's pretty much it for our quick look at the nut driver set.

I hope that this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right tool set for you. We do have a lot of other hand tools and other sorts of stuff here at etrailer.com, along with a whole bunch of other parts and accessories for your RVs, boats, and more, so definitely check them out. Thanks for watching.
