Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're looking at the Onan 4,500 watt dual fuel portable inverter generator. Folks, this can run both on gas or propane and you get a built-in remote start. So if you're looking for a quieter, more compact, more power solution for your RV, this Cummins Onan 4,500 watt dual fuel inverter generator has been built for your convenience, efficiency and for reliability as far as performance, off road, off grid, those kind of things. Again folks, 4,500 watts peak power.
It's ideal for running those essentials in your RV or campers, whether it's your air conditioner, lights, televisions, small appliances without the bulk of larger units that you're traditionally seeing out there. So it's a great fit for weekend trips, small RVs or anyone that just wants dependable power without going over size. And because again, it's an inverter generator, you're getting that clean, stable power that's safe for those sense of electronics. So our phones, laptops, TVs, those kind of things, this is perfect for those. Now from the start, one of the things that I love and that to me is a standout feature is it's dual fuel.
So propane or gas, if I want clean, stable power, I can get higher output goes in gasoline, it's gonna be a little louder, or I can switch it to quieter running and a little bit less power on propane, but I'm gonna be burning clean fuel. It's gonna be able to store easier with less maintenance when you're running it on propane. And if you're an RV or a camper that's already using propane on your rig, this is perfect 'cause now you have that flexibility and peace of mind as well. So I do wanna kind of show you at first what all's included. So I kind of move this stuff outta the way.
You get a funnel for adding the oil. Of course the oil's included. You get your key fob with a little carabiner clip, that's your on off switch remote, works up to 99 feet away. That's pretty impressive distance I think. You get this screwdriver which you can take and pull out.
Then you have both the Phillips and the flathead. And then of course in here you also have a round one that's for the spark plug. I'm just gonna leave that in there. Of course you get your propane regulator, that's included. Pretty standard stuff. And you're gonna get your propane hose as well. Same thing, pretty standard stuff here. And obviously if you need a longer one for whatever reason for your setup, you can purchase those separately unless you already have one. And then you have this little charger inverter here that's gonna be for keeping the onboard battery at its peak charge whenever it's not used when you're in storage or something. That way when you go to use it, it's ready to go. Now from this side I'm gonna use the included Phillips, and I'm just gonna pop off this maintenance panel just so you can see what's inside of here and kind of show you how easy it really is to get in here and do maintenance. So it's just one Phillips screw from the top here I'm pulling off and then I'm pulling off both sides together at the bottom. You got insulation here and all inside of this enclosure. And that's gonna keep it also running quiet as well. And then here you have two little lock knobs. This is where your air filter's gonna be. And then of course you have access to anything else, whether it's spark plugs and those kind of things for maintenance. And then I'm just gonna pop this right back in place, starting with the bottom tabs and just kind of gently get a little tap, that's all you need. And then put your Phillips screw right back here in the top again with the included Phillips screwdriver. And then after that we're closed up and we're ready to go. Now I'm going to turn this around so you can see the main side here. And the first thing I wanna talk about is this handle. So not only is it on wheels, but it also has this kind of carrying suitcase extension handle on it. Got a built in spring loaded button here and it's fully extendable all the way out the bottom. So I'm gonna leave that kind of out, but show you that it can extend. On the front here, you got your dual fuel option here. I can change it from gas over to propane. I got my propane connection right there. You've got your standard PT-30R outlet. That's gonna be where your RV camper hooks up into the generator. Then you got your household plugins right there. And then you got an echo mode, you got the battery on off and you got some other indicator lights. And of course you've got a couple USBs online or onboard fuse, reset button, digital data center. This is all kind of standard stuff nowadays. You can check all those out better in the photos and in the specs on the page as far as what every single individual thing does. And then of course on top you got your cap for adding gasoline when you need to. I'm gonna come in front and turn this around the other way, just keep making our way around it. Now on this side I have a pull string. So if the battery for whatever reason's not working, I can always pull start this. So to me that's a triple redundancy if you will, as far as being able to get this going. And then I have access just like it says on the panel for oil. So I have the oil bill right there. And then you got some electrical connections here that you can see as well. Same thing, you've got that sound dampening insulation foam there. And again, all of that plus it being enclosed is keeping this running really quiet. Coming around to the backside, of course we got our exhaust and then we've got our battery access cover here and I've got battery terminals. It does not come hooked up from the factory. So again, make sure you're checking the instructions when you're setting this up for the first time to make sure everything's getting installed correctly the first time. And of course we got nice, heavy duty plastic wheels that we're riding on as well. I will go ahead and turn this back here while we finish up the video today. And I do wanna go over some quick dimensions, As far as weight, it's about 100 pounds, 25 and 1/2 inches long overall. 18 and 1/8 inches wide and then 20 and 1/2 inches tall. Again folks, convenience here to me is the biggest thing. You got the remote start, you can turn the generator on and off from inside the RV. No more going out on rainy, cold nights or dark, whether it's bad weather, whatnot and having to get out there and try to get it started, I can simply push that key fob and I'm ready to go. It's ready to go out of the box, put the oil in it per the instructions, hook the a few things up that need hooked up from the shipping and everything and then you're ready to go. So it's portable, it's compact, and it's quiet and you have that telescoping handle to move it around with ease. Folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this Onan 4,500 watt dual fuel portable inverter generator. I'm Steven with etrailer, have a good one and thanks for watching.
