Video Transcript for A Closer look at the WeatherTech HP Front Floor Mats in a 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L

Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L and you're looking for a way to keep a lot of dust, dirt, any type of grind from really settling into the floors of your vehicle, then WeatherTech floor mats are gonna be a great option for you. So let's check 'em out. So if we really look at the difference between what comes inside your vehicle standard and the WeatherTech floor mats, there's a pretty big difference. As you can see, this just kinda sits in here and we're missing out on a lot of coverage if we're just taking to what comes with your vehicle. And we're getting some sidewalls with this.

So those sidewalls are gonna be able to catch any debris that falls on the side. So if you're someone who is outside a lot, maybe you're doing some kayaking or any outdoor activities, or maybe just in general you're walking through some muddy areas, this is gonna help prevent a lot of that from getting inside your vehicle. But let's actually check out what this is gonna be like to be inside your vehicle, 'cause it is a custom fit. So right off the bat, you'll notice this is gonna be relatively easy to get in here. It's really not fighting you too much.

And the way you can tell this is working is 'cause it's really contouring to the shape of a vehicle. And this does come in the set of two so it shouldn't be too hard to tell which side is which, 'cause one side won't fit if it's not. You also have these two little sections on the bottom of them that are gonna have some holes in it. They're gonna just plug onto these little tabs or nibs. You also notice we do have these nibs underneath the mat too.

That's gonna help it stay into place so it doesn't slide around. This doesn't take too long to do. Just push down on it. It'll click into place on both sides, just like that. And we're over here on the driver's side, and it's gonna be just as good as a fit over here too.

You're gonna notice how this is gonna contour to the shape of our vehicle. We really don't have any gaps. Again, full coverage on this space here. A lot of times, you don't have anything covering that. And underneath your pedals are gonna be completely covered. And that's a good point to cover too, 'cause when your feet are up here, if there's any dirt on them, often that fall off and fall into this area. And speaking of things falling off when things do, they're usually gonna fall off into these little crevices here. And since that is kind of separated from the top section, what's gonna happen is when your feet are sitting here, it's gonna keep your feet elevated away from any of that dirt and grime that are falling off your shoes. What I also like is on the backside, right here, this really gives me a feel of a custom fit because how it's just contouring even around these smaller sections, it just looks really nice in here. And the next thing I really like about these mats are the material. So which mats with this material are a few reasons. The first thing is it's really good at keeping it shape. So when I do need to take this out, I'm gonna be less likely of really spilling anything. And since we have that sidewall, as we announced, gonna help contain all that grime. Next thing is they're really easy to clean. So you notice we have some dirt here from getting inside of our vehicle. A lot of times you can just come by, wipe that off with something. That already took off most of it. You're probably gonna be best off just coming by with a little hose, letting it dry off outside, and it should be good as new. And the next thing is it's still flexible. So this is nice because a lot of floor mats out there of a similar material of this are good at learning the shape. And that's still nice. But if you're getting inside your vehicle and your foot kinda hits the side here, sometimes it can really learn its shape and it will bend in some weird ways. That's not gonna be super likely with this type of material. It'll kind of flex sometimes, but at the end of the day, it will start to relearn the space shape, which will be more custom fit to your vehicle.
