Video Transcript for Setting up the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mat on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech front floor mats in black, part number WT445431. Also available in tan, part number WT455431, and gray, part number WT465431, and cocoa, part number WT475431. Here we've got our factory floor mat on the driver's side, and as you can see, there's a lot of carpet all around our floor mat that's visible. With it being visible, that means that dirt, debris, and spills can get into that, and stain, and get ground into that carpet. We see that same thing over on the passenger side. As you can see, there's a lot of carpet that's visible all around the floor mat here as well. Let's go ahead and remove both of these floor mats, and we'll install our WeatherTech.

Now, with our WeatherTech floor mat installed, you can see how much more coverage we have, both in front of the seats and then here over the hump as well. You can see we now have nice coverage here along the front of the seat tracks. As we work our way around past the threshold, you can see we've now got full coverage here, over the driver's footrest, and even up onto the firewall a little bit. As we continue across, you can see up behind the pedals, it goes well up underneath the dash to make sure we've got full coverage, so even when the driver's foot is on the pedals, if anything comes off, it is going to collect onto the floor mat. Then it continues and contours nicely all the way around here, along the base of the center console, and along our center hump here. Here in the center of our floor mat, we've got these channels and ridges.

What these are going to do is help to channel anything that spills or collects down here and keep it from moving around too much, but also keep it off of the driver's feet. This floor mat also has little raised portions here that sit on top of those factory tabs that are on the floor, and that way, it's going to allow it to sit nice and flush on the floor. With our center hump, you can see how well it's contoured along the front and rear of it. I'm going down to the passenger side, where we're going to see a lot of those same features as on the driver's side, where it goes nicely up underneath the dash and all the way around, covering to the threshold, contouring nicely all the way around. Overall, these floor mats are going to do a great job of providing you coverage that the factory floor mats definitely are not going to give you. What I like most about these floor mats is the coverage that it gives you over the center, because that way, even if somebody's sitting on that center seat of the bench, you don't have to worry about what may come off of their shoes.

In order to clean these floor mats, you simply remove them from the vehicle, and you can clean them with soap and water, or you can pick up the WeatherTech Cleaner and Protector Kit, part number WT8LTC36K, and then air or towel-dry them.
