Video Transcript for Setting up the WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Weather Tech second row auto floor mats and how they fit our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2,500. These floor mats are made of a rubberized plastic material designed to hold up to, maybe you live in an area where you get a lot of weather and you're bringing that in and outta your vehicle. Maybe you travel with kids a lot and they're spill prone or they track a lot of mud, dirt into your car and you wanna protect the carpet flooring. These are gonna be a great option for you. As you can see, they do have a rise that's going to contour to the inside of our cab once we get 'em in and it's gonna funnel all of that water and debris into an area where it won't move around while you're driving and splash around.

And you can take these out and just clean 'em off. On the backside of our mats, you can see that there are a couple of anchor points, so if those are already in your vehicle, they just snap in. In the case of the Silverado we have here, they do not. So there are these grips that they include separately that fit into those anchor points, and they've got teeth in them that'll just help you get that grip on the carpet. To install 'em is pretty straightforward, so let's toss it in.

We did have a couple of mats in here already but they weren't fixed down or anything so we just got those out of the way. We got the seats folded up as well to give us more room and we should have plenty of clearance to toss this in. It is one piece though and it does have a little bit of memory from the box still so, it'll take a little bit of manipulation to get it in. And on the front side, you can see that this side is folded up just a little bit, but once we tuck that down it'll fit into where it needs to go and we'll just secure it on either side. Gradually just going around and making sure that it's fitting into the contours.

Even with that memory from the box still in place you can tell that it does contour pretty well around the shape of the inside of our cab here. Including even the straps where the seat belts go, there's a little cutout there. So the custom fit is spot on. And over time with warm weather and more use it'll definitely will slide itself into place, but it's a good fit. So again, if you're looking for mats that are gonna hold up to long-term use, wear and tear, maybe you have a couple kids back here again that they're spill prone or they're just getting in and out a lot, maybe going to sporting events, things like that.

If you want a mat that's gonna hold up and that you can just take out and rinse off every once in a while as you need to versus maybe some cloth mats that are gonna stain and hold that debris and that water.
