Today in our 2015 Ford Edge, we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech second row floor mats in black, part number WT448152. Also available in grey, part number WT468152 and in tan part number WT458152. The thing that I like most about these second row WeatherTech is that it goes up over the hump in the center, because that's something that with most factory floor mats and universal floor mats, you're definitely not going to get, is that coverage over the center. That gives you that extra protection and I also just really like how well it contours to the floor, of the rear of this vehicle. Here you can see the floor mats that we're in the back of this Ford Edge before. They did catch a lot of dirt, but they did a lot of things to escape off to the side, to where it could possibly get ground in to this carpet underneath. So now, let's grab our WeatherTech floor mats and install them. Now with the WeatherTech floor mat in place, you can see how good the coverage is all the way around.
It starts over at the threshold there with that nice raised lip and then it comes around, contours the seat tracks. Goes up underneath the rear of the front seat and comes back around the seat track over here, all the way to the hump in the center, which then it goes over the hump, because it's a one piece design. Then comes down over to the passenger side and continues with that same great contouring and that edge that helps make sure that things stay collected on the floor mat. You've got these channels and ridges and what those are designed to do, is help with traction, but also make sure that any dirt, debris, or spill that gets on here, doesn't have a chance to get off of this mat, because it stays contained within those ridges. Those ridges are also going to help make sure that the passenger's feet stay off of whatever is collected down in the bottom of here. In order to clean the floor mats, simply remove them from the vehicle and clean them with soap and water, or you can pick up the WeatherTech cleaner and protector kit, part number WT8LTZ36K and then air or towel dry them.
