Video Transcript for Install: WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the WeatherTech Second Row FloorLiners for our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now, this is gonna be a custom fit floor mat. And right away, you can see that custom fit around the edges of the floor mat, how it kind of matches and contours different shapes of a vehicle, works around the front seat and doesn't conflict with anything. One thing I will point out though is that you probably notice some curling up on the edges, and especially like where my foot is right now, that's totally normal. The way these come packaged up, this happens quite a bit.

Just lay it out in the sun for a few hours and this will start to lay down flat and conform properly. But with this, it's going to be a really high quality mat and give you the most coverage over the backseat and give you all-weather protection. Let's check them out. As far as the coverage goes, it's gonna be pretty solid. These second row floor mats could extend a little bit further up, but where my foot's resting right now is kind of where it's natural.

Sure, I could extend it out a bit further and then it would be resting on the carpet, but right here is pretty good and does protect the floor. The big area for me is where the floor mat actually goes up and over this middle section, so it's all one piece over the backseat here. So if you do have a kid, like this car does, it's going to give you that maximum protection for spills, crumbs, any sort of messes that might happen back here. Your Jeep does have factory anchor points back here too on each side, and it's gonna utilize those to keep the floor mat in place and keep it from sliding around, which is great to see. The custom fit will help that too, but the fact that it's anchored down is gonna really do a good job.

The high sides here will keep any spills contained, and these small ridges will keep our feet elevated out of those spills if there are any. And the whole thing's gonna be fairly flexible. It'll be easy enough to get in and out of the vehicle, but not totally flexible to the point where, if we are carrying it out and there's crumbs or something on there, it's not gonna spill all over the vehicle as soon as we try to pick up the mat. We can bring it out to the outside safely, shake it off, spray it down with the hose to clean it and let it dry. And with this you have the black color option like you have here today, but there's also gonna be a tan color option if you like that better.

Both of them function and install the exact same way and give you the same protection. And regardless of which one you go with, I think a floor mat is a great option, and custom fit is definitely the way to go, because it utilizes those anchor points and it gives just more coverage back here.
