Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats with the High Wall Design on our 2020 Ford F-150. Before you install your new mat, you're gonna have to remove your factory mats if you have those installed already. It's a good idea to vacuum under there as well if you have a mess already built up so we don't get things underneath our brand new mats and move the chair all the way back just give yourself some more room. But quick look at the backside of our mat here. We do have these anti-skid nibs here that are gonna hold the mat in place.
We also have two anchor points that we're gonna match up with the anchor points that we already have inside our F-150. So if we take a closer look, we can see those anchor points already there on the ground inside the vehicle. All we're gonna need to do to install the mat. I like to go front first and get this underneath the pedals and then we'll match up the anchor points with where they line up here on the bottom. Just find that point, can be a little bit difficult 'cause you can't see it anymore and then just pop into the place just like that.
And now our driver's side mat is installed. For our passenger side mat, we do not have any anchor points but we do also have the anti skid nibs here on the back and the overall fit quality will help it stay in place just by friction. So similar process, I like to just go top first, feed it in to where it's gonna eventually wind up, rest it in place. And our passenger mat is installed. On our driver's side mat here, we're just gonna take a closer look at the fit.
So as we go around you can see how well that high wall design really does contour to all our edges, curves. We have plenty of room under our gas and our brake pedals just for them to be pressed down and our foot not getting stuck behind. We do have just a very slight gap here on this wall. That could just be because we have some memory in our mat still. I could run my fingers behind here.
Maybe as we use it, as it warms up, it'll contour a little bit better. But everywhere else, it is a really nice snug fit and we can see that because the wall design is there, it's gonna help funnel things down using these channels and bridges as well, keeping that dirt, debris, or liquid away from your shoes so you're not tracking it all over the mat, and it'll just store in one place where you can vacuum it up or take the mat out, clean it off and put it back in. Now over here on our passenger side mat, very similar to the driver's side, we have really nice coverage on the back and side walls as well as underneath. There is kind of a gap here on the right side though. Similar thing, might just be a memory from storing them in the box and maybe as you use them, it'll expand and get a little bit more malleable and fit in there. But for now there is a little bit of that gap. Also, these mats are made of a really high quality rubberized plastic so gonna help them be durable, hold up to long-term use, wear and tear, general taking them out, cleaning 'em off, putting them back in frequently. It'll hold up to that. And as you can see here, we do have that black color which matches the interior of our F-150 really well. But there are couple different color options available at etrailer.com. Overall, I do like these floor mats a lot compared to the more rigid regular front auto floor mats from WeatherTech. We found that these have a better fit. I like that high wall design a lot because even if there are a gap here and there, because you do have that high wall, things are gonna have a harder time getting down and around that, especially liquid, which is just gonna store in a place where you can easily just vacuum it up or take the mats out and clean 'em off. So if you are looking for a solution to getting the inside of your car cleaner, keeping it cleaner for longer periods of time, these are a great option. This is my second set of these floor mats (new car). They are a great fit, tough, and deep enough to collect all the snow that are on my boots. Can't go wrong with them.
High quality floor mats
The floor mats are a disappointment. They are too big and just don’t fit right. I removed the factory mats, but the only way they might possibly fit is if I remove all factory carpeting. I’m not going to do that. The hold down anchors are also in the wrong spots, none of the four anchors line up. They are not worth the price.
This is the 4th set of Weather Tech floor mats we have used in different cars and truck. The fit is always great, and they hold up very well.
The mats fit perfectly and as usual are of high quality. I have never had a problem with anything I have purchased from e trailer.

Etrailer did a great job getting us just what we ordered.
HOWEVER, feedback to weather tech... we were looking for something that could cover up the metal latches on the floor in the back of the Jeep, bc my dog sits back there. This doesn't do what i needed it to do.
We may get a super cheap, cut out mat or a yoga mat for him.
I think he may have cut himself on one of the metal hooks. They are there for the storage bay, which we took out to make room for - guess who, ... the dog, LEVI!

The floor mats ordered for my Ram have worked great. They have contained all the messes, and spills inside the floor mat. Excellent buy.
I have always purchased the floor liners however I decided to try the 3d floor mats for my new truck. These are every bit as good as the liners in my opinion. They provide extra coverage over the door sills and are more pliable as well. The Weathertech name is imprinted on the mat instead of the label on the floorliners which will over time lose the adhesive backing and become dislodged with the heel of your shoes. Unfortunately I've had this experience with the floorliners, while not affecting its performance, it can be unattractive with glue residue left behind. I've always let the liners or mats sit out of the box at room temperature for 24 hours then install with perfect fitment every time. If you're on the fence about these mats give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
Fit will and looks good!
The mats worked great and were easy to install. They were very form fitting and looked great.
They fit great. Do trim them so they don’t get caught by the lower edge of the door and curl them up. Just noticed that there was trim instructions on the bottom of the mat. Now they fit great.
Nice mats. Updating tracking information would be helpful.
