The cat-back system is the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter back to the tailpipe. This cat-back model is part of MagnaFlow's Off-Road Pro Series of turndown exhaust systems. It is designed to turn down before the axle, which gives it an aggressive exhaust note. This configuration also makes it compatible with automobiles that have highly modified suspension systems. Whether your vehicle is long travel, lowered or air bagged, this cat-back will fit, eliminating the need for custom fabrication and improving performance.
MagnaFlow systems boast mandrel-bent tubes that allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter through every curve. This consistency in diameter decreases back pressure. Each MagnaFlow performance muffler has a stainless steel, perforated core that runs through the muffler - end to end - with no baffles, chambers, or louvers that restrict airflow. A stainless steel wool layer insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield against high exhaust temperatures, and prevent blowouts.
Together the mandrel-bent tubes and the muffler in this system increase horsepower, torque, and fuel efficiency. MagnaFlow's signature sound is deep and throaty on the throttle but quiet inside your vehicle. All system components are made with 100-percent stainless steel to resist corrosion. It has technologically advanced, mandrel-bent tubing and a performance muffler, which improve engine performance, boosting horsepower and torque.Product DOES NOT fit extended cab, long bed model silverado like is says on the site. After calling both etrailer and magnaflow, I was told the product would fit so I ordered it. It is nearly 15 inches too short. Customer service has been helpful with my problem and with returning the item though.
Easy to put on .wish the gasket came with the pipe
