Today we're gonna take a quick look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter. Now replacing your cabin air filter is gonna be a good idea for a couple of reasons. It's going to help to maintain good quality air inside your vehicle, so you're not breathing in harmful pollutants from the outside. Anything like dust, smoke, bacteria, mold spores, brake dust, all that stuff that we can encounter out on the road. This is gonna filter out 90% of those outside air pollutants, and capture that into the carbon material here. It's gonna have a pleated design to capture all those things. It's also a good idea to replace your cabin air filter often since over time, this will fill up with all those things.
Sometimes even leaves and pine needles can get in there too, and that can diminish the output of your AC or heating system. So if you're finding that your AC just isn't blowing out any cold air anymore, or maybe your heat really isn't working, you might need to change your air filter. It's pretty easy to do. You'll just need to open up your glove box, drop that down, take out the old filter, replace it with the new one. You do wanna make sure and note the air flow direction of the old filter whenever you take that out, you wanna match that with your new one. There's a little arrow here indicating the flow of air, so it's intended that the air would flow down through this.
You wanna match that up to your vehicle, so if yours comes out and the air flow points up, you'll wanna flip this over and install it in that direction. Now this is manufactured to all ISO certified standards. Again, it just has that easy drop-in design. It's gonna fit several different Dodge vehicles, including the 2007 . 2000-2007 Dodge Caravan, and the Dodge Grand Caravan, also for 2000-2007. It'll fit the 2000-2003 Chrysler Grand Voyager.
The 2004-2008 Chrysler Pacifica, 2000-2007 Chrysler Town & Country, and the 2000-2003 Chrysler Voyager. It is a custom fit design. Manufacturer recommends that you change your filter about every 12,000-18,000 miles, or about once a year. It's not a bad idea to check your owner's manual, make sure that they don't have any different specifications, but generally about once a year is when you should change your air filter, to make sure that you maintain all those good standards. And that's gonna do it for our look at the custom fit PTC air filter.
