Garages are used for a lot of things. And when you're not on the bike trail, you gotta put 'em somewhere. So garage floor space is something that I look for. So with the RockyMounts WallRide, it's gonna let you take your bike up off the ground so you can fit other bike stuff or anything else in your garage underneath. When we pick through this garage is black. It has a nice black powder coated finish but if you do want a stainless steel raw one, we have that as well.

So you have two different options there. They're the same exact footprint. So the mounting holes from center to center are six inches apart. And the overall height of it's gonna be about seven and a half inches tall. And it's about three and three quarter inches wide.

Whenever it sticks off the wall, it's about nine inches. But the bike obviously is gonna be a little bit farther out than that. But the way we have it right now for my height, I'm not gonna hit my head on this. So you can pick your height accordingly. If you are one that kind of just rips through your garage you don't really think about where stuff is, putting it a little bit higher is gonna prevent you from hitting your head on it.

We have a lot of different solutions to hanging your bikes in your garage. I think this one's a good one. It's pretty low footprint. I don't really like this setup just because some people that are a little bit taller than me could possibly hit their head but there are some other ones on our website that once you hang 'em up you can kind of slide them to the side. So if you have a more narrow garage and you have to fit two cars in here, maybe that's the best route for you but it all just depends on your garage, how many bikes you have and what you really want.

We can either hang it from the front wheel or for whatever reason you can go ahead and hang it from the back wheel as well. It just works the same. It's all your preference on where you really want the handlebars to be, or even the seat. Again, that's just all kind of what your garage is and what you really want. But with this one, we're gonna have a little bit of limitations. It's not gonna be for your really, really heavy e-bikes. So a hundred pound capacity is gonna be the capacity for both of these units. And then when it comes to the tire width, it's gonna be about three inches max. And then the maximum tire depth is about a hundred millimeters. So take a look at your bike, see if it falls within those bounds. I think that's kind of a pretty broad range of bikes. So I think it's gonna work with majority of the ones you have. You don't have to worry about it scratching up your rims. This is made of TPU rubber. It's really soft. So it's not gonna scratch it up. A couple things we can do to lock our bike to this. If you have a cable, you can use that and just loop it through the mount and then through your frame and connect it up. You can grab a cable here at etrailer but if you are putting this on the outside of any type of establishment, whether you own a business or it's like a little park thing or just on the outside of your house to free up more space in your garage, we do have another version of this. This one's gonna be a little bit more beefy. We can use this chain along with our cable lock or if you have a U lock, that's probably gonna be the most secure out of all the stuff that you're doing. So this just depends on where you're putting it around wherever you're putting it. You like the bike but we're not always on the bike on the trail. So just having our garage be a little bit more organized is really, really nice. It's a little bit prettier whenever you have your garage door open. If you're in a subdivision like we are right now, it's just kind of cool to look in and see all the bikes kind of lined up. And it's just a cleaner look. So if you have studs and you're drilling into wood or if you're drilling into concrete, all the stuff is included with the kit. So we're gonna show you the install process. Every garage is different. So find the place that is gonna be most convenient for you to hang up your bikes. And depending on what you're planning on doing, you can make it to where the bottom of the tire is all the way on the ground but I wanna keep all of my bike stuff together. So I'm gonna put my bike rack right down here and then you should just grab your bike to see where it's gonna hang, because the way this thing works it's gonna hang from here, the farthest point up. So we're gonna put this up and that should be enough for me to get the bike rack underneath there. So we can go ahead and just draw imaginary line straightforward. I think where we want the hookup is right around here. So once all that's kind of figured out, you know where you want it you know what height you want it, then we can take this. And this is where we want to match up with the height that we decided earlier. So that was about like right here so. So, we wanna keep it nice and straight. Might wanna get a level if you really wanted to. We're gonna take a quarter inch bit but what I like to do first, go right in the middle. Make a little mark, make a little mark. And now we know exactly where they are. They're pretty much centered on our stud. We get two BB screws that come with the kit. This is what we're gonna use. And they're about two and a half inches deep. So just keep that in mind. So I'm just not gonna go all the way in. So I wanna use almost the whole entire drill bit. So now we can just go ahead and drill these out. Since it's wood, we don't really have to go too slow 'cause we won't really have to worry about it dulling our tip. Just make sure you go in there nice and straight. There we go. If you have concrete walls in your garage, we do have this little anchor right here. So the only difference between the two installs is we're gonna be using a half inch masonry bit to drill through that, but we're gonna use the same exact hardware for both different types of walls. Now we can put this up into place. I like to maybe try to get it started a little bit so I don't have to hold it up, but might work, might not. So I'm just gonna start with the top one, just so it hangs. And the nice thing about this is this little tip on the end of my drill does come with the kit and it fits. So you don't have to worry about grabbing the right one. It does get a little awkward though if you look at my drill right there. So I think we kind of gotta rotate it a little bit to get all the way tight. I'm not gonna completely tighten it up. So now we can just go ahead and line the bottom hole up, take the other screw. This one's a little bit easier because we don't have this thing to mess with. Alright, tighten the top one up. Alright, that's pretty solid. Let's see how we did with our height. Check that out. I do like how it kind of goes to the side. So, I mean, with us, we have no drywall here so we can kind of indent it in a little bit to save us a couple inches of space. But if we did have drywall in it, it'd just be sitting just like that. But that's pretty much it for the install. Plenty of room for the bike rack. So even if I'm not taking this bike out, I could still grab the rack and put it back. And it's just that simple. And that'll do it for a look at the RockyMounts WallRide garage bike rack..
