Hello neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a PTC custom fit engine air filter, specifically for a 2018 through 2021 Honda Clarity with a 1.5 liter I4 engine. Now folks, with anything here at etrailer.com that we say is a custom fit, we recommend you check out our vehicle fit guide on our homepage top center where it says my vehicle, enter things such as year, make and model, bed length for trucks, those kind of things, cab styles, et cetera. So make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. And keep in mind, sometimes videos can be outdated and it could possibly fit newer years as well. Now getting into it folks, this custom fit engine air filter does replace your vehicle's existing filter to improve performance and it's made of embossed paper pleats that are gonna protect the engine from debris and improve air flow.
And I gotta say, folks, this one here has a nice hard plastic rigid exterior with a nice rubberized gasket and these pleated fabric here that's embossed paper is really, really tough. I'm actually pretty impressed with this filter. You got a tab right here for helping to take it out a little bit easier. Now this isn't exact replacement for the Echo Guard, the Wix, or the Piro, and I'll put them numbers up if you're cross-referencing this as well. Now as far as when do you change your filter or how often consult your vehicles on your manual or contact the dealership and they can give you that information as well.
Now what this is gonna do is gonna prevent harmful dirt and debris from entering your engine while also increasing the flow of air to the engine. It's gonna improve acceleration and mileage, and it's gonna easily install into your engine's air filter housing. As I mentioned, that nice silicone gasket is gonna ensure a strong seal between the filter and the air intake box.
