Rob: How's it going everybody Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the PTC Custom Engine Air Filter our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. Now, our filter is going to be a great replacement for your factory air filter. It's going to fit directly into the factory air box and not going to require any kind of modifications.Now, I know a lot of people remember to put fuel in their car and a lot of cars even have a reminder to tell you to change your oil, but an air filter is one of those things that's usually one of the last things that's on our mind. But if we don't check and change the air filter when it does get dirty, we're going to be robbing our engine of the fuel economy and performance that we need to get because our engine air filter is was going to filter all the air out before it gets into the engine so it can breathe properly.Now, once it starts to get dirty, there's not going to be enough air flow, and the engine is going to have to compensate for that and we're going to lose our gas mileage. And I know we've all been at the service station where we're getting an oil change and someone offers to check it and change it for us, and really it's not that big of a deal to change it yourself or even check it and you can actually save yourself a few dollars.So we have our hood open, so we can go over to the passenger side and we can check our air filter, and we have a new one if we need to get it replaced.

So our air box is going to be all the way over on the passenger side and we're going to have a few clips that are holding it down. They're just spring loaded clips, we just lift them up, push the clip out of the way. We'll have one the front corner, one towards the center, and then we'll have one more that's tucked in this little corner back here on the passenger side.Once we have all those unhooked, kind of want to grab it on the front here, lift up, and then we can pull out because there's actually a notch that it slides into. You can lift it up, grab our filter, and we can take a quick look. Now, you can already see that it's changing colors, and by opening it up, you can see some of the larger debris that it's catching.

Now, the fact that it is catching it is good because we don't want any of this to actually get inside the engine because larger pieces like this can do a lot of damage. So since it is this dirty, we're going to go in and replace it.We'll just set our old one aside. When we grab the new, you can see it's the exact same shape so just take our filter, line it up where it fits in the housing. And then again, you can see these notches that I was talking about earlier. So I'm going to put the box back in place, kind of have to do the exact opposite.

We'll have it tilted up, make sure that back end goes into those notches, close it down, and then we'll just latch all the latches back in place.It's a super easy process, and again, it'll will save us a lot of money in the long run, and really the hardest part is just going to be remembering to do it.
