Hello neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at this Yakima Fit Kit for the Yakima Mod HomeBase. Now, this fit kit strengthens the existing tiedown points in your vehicle's cargo area, and that's gonna ensure that your Yakima MOD storage system is securely anchored. So if you're not familiar with the Yakima MOD storage system, it is a modular in-vehicle storage system, pretty much made up of drawers and accessories, maybe some different size boxes, and it was designed with car campers and overland enthusiasts in mind.
But the everyday mom or dad, if you're just getting groceries or each wanna put cargo and stuff in there, it will work just for you as well. Now, what this kit does is it basically replaces two of your factory tie-down points in the cargo area of your vehicle. So again, depending on your vehicle, you may need one or two of these fit kits per vehicle. Always check the website, etrailer.com, the fit guide. You get this nice wrench to install everything.
You may need a Phillips screwdriver as well. These screws here are Phillips. Like I was saying, check your fit guide, etrailer.com. Enter your year, make and model. Make sure you're getting the right ones to fit your vehicle.
This particular kit here looks like it's gonna fit some Mazda CX-50s and some Subaru Crosstreks and Imprezas. But again, check the fit guide to make sure it fits your vehicle. Now, these will nicely add a reinforcement and stability again, over what you currently already have in your vehicle. So these are gonna give you a little bigger hole here. They're thicker.
It's gonna be a nice strong, again, tight on point for your Yakima storage system. Now, this does have a nice limited lifetime warranty. Yakima makes great products. Everything's, you know, steel. It's been nice powder-coated. You got spacer blocks, some washers and the bolts and everything you need to install this.
